My dear friends and fellow mylotters, I have a job and I am in task to make a report. How shall I do a good report? What could be the elements of a good report? How shall I start a report? Had you also experienced to make a report? Could you share something about it?

Hello kaichoukebz, before staring the write up you should name the report as header. Below you can mention the date and time. Then begin with write up. the first paragraph should be a conclusion of all the vents that took place during the vent. One of the important matter is that use only pass tense, do not use future tens. In some case you can use present simple. tens is much important in the case of writing a report.

I think that your report should have a basic structure with an introduction that describes what you did for the topic, then you write the aims and objectives of your work (to state what is the main purpose of the report and what steps did you do to complete the work). The main report should be seperated in chapters according to your topic, you can also present a quick literature review of the previous work that has been done on the subject. Finally, you should have a seperate chapter with the results and your comments on them and at the end some recommendations for further development of the subject. You can also add some appendices if you have specific data that you want to include but they are not essential for the main report. The references that you used for the work should also be placed at the end of the report. These are the main parts that I am usually using but it depends also on the subject. I would recommend that you read report on similar subjects to see how they are structured, keep what you like and adjust it to your personal writing. I hope it helps!
