The way Sachin has been playing the uppercut so easily and effectively BCCI should patent that shot so that others don not play this shot, LOL!
And sadly both Ashwin and Umesh missed out on a hatrick on the opening day, did you notice that???

we are not like those of the tech companies like apple who think that if they envent something then they own right to not allow other to manufacture the same.
Patent and cricket are just opposite things patent give inverter it right to what they have done and so other didn't steal it. Patent is intellectual property. While cricket something that is aquired by practice and gained as some one get experineced. It not ncessary that each time a person play a short will able to do the same next ttime offcourse no one give this guarranty.
I liked this short, upper great short. I didn't watching the match live but monitoring the score. Asyou said, i also think these two batsman are best hitter of the uppercut. I wished if tendulkar would have made more uppercuts to score a 100. Well never mind next time.
Yes here in mylot some one had had started a discussion that Ashwin and Umesh yadav both are on a hatrick. Well i don't remeber who was that person but i am sure there is one discussion on it. From there it was know to me but i forogt untill i saw this discussion. It would have been good if any one of them had taken hatrick. Well not less, they both Ashwin and Umesh yadav bowled well mostly Umesh yadav in begginging.

the hat trick discussion was mine but even I forgot it and only realized it again today. This upper cut discussion was in a lighter vein but some of you have have taken it in the literal sense, I don't know why?.
The uppercut has been played so well and against the fastest of bowlers that it is longer a risky shot because the returns are terrific, the bowler is demoralized and so is the captain.I think this shot demoralized the whole Pakistan team when Sachin unleashed this shot to the bowling of Akhtarin the previous world cup. By the time the pakistanis recovered Sachin(98) had taken the game away from them The way Sachin plays it it is even more authentic than the hook shot. Sachin is able to place it square or fine, so the third man fielder is negated to a great extent.
Now, how difficult is it for the coach to teach this shot at the nets? This shot is not that easy as it looks and can easily land in the gloves of the keeper. I don't think any coach can teach you this shot because he himself may never even have dreamt of playing such a shot.In comparison the switch hit and Dilscoop look very contrived and ungainly.

Yes, it was very pleasure to watch that kind of a shot from Sachin Tendulkar
. I have seen many times Sehwag plays that shot. It is one of the best chance for batsmen to hit a boundary. But, there is some risk in that shot. If we lost the concentration, everything is gone

Are you kidding
?
Both of them played the upper shot very easily. I haven't noticed the hat-trick chance of Umesh Yadav and Aswin. Thanks for informing to us about that

"The ball is pitched short and coming in to the batsman and very quickly he leans back and bends his knees to allow the ball to come on to his bat and using his wrists and the pace of the ball he gives it a forceful tap and the ball sails over the slips and over the boundary and crashes into the crowd, It's a six and the captain is glaring at the bowler as the slip cordon is still turned towards thirdman and the thirdman slowly trots over to retrieve the ball from the crowd. The crowd has been stunned into silence and slowly a smattering of applause spreads across the ground as the local crowd acknowledges the shot of a genius batsman.Wow!!!!"

Patent......you must be kidding in this article. Yes, we all forget that hattrick chances were available to both Umesh and Ashwin. Truly speaking both Ashwin and Yadav too have known that either.

I am joking but try saying that to to the bowlers who have suffered at the hands of Sachin and Sehwag. We have seen quite a few innovations like the switch hit from Kevin Pieterson which is the most ugliest and in my books illegal shot. Dilshan's scoop can backfire and injure the batsman fatally.I mean It is extremely dangerous for anyoone attempt what Dilshan has been doing whereas The Indian uppercut can be played only by those who have tremendous wrists. There is a difference between a cut and an edge if you know what I mean.
