I am in search of a good, but cheap back brace for my lumbar pain. I suffer from scoliosis and am obese (I know I need to lose weight) and am in search of a good but cheap brace (if possible) for me to wear so I'm able to stand for long periods of time. I don't have much money but need the help. Can anyone suggest a brace that can help me? I really hope so. Thank you.

hi, if it is not too late i think i can help you a lot,if your back ache is due to the scoliosis it is better to do some corrective exercise rather than putting a brace.a brace cannot correct your scoliosis,it can only support your lumbar or thoracic region.if your scoliosis is a mild one you can easily correct it by doing some hanging exercise or by lying for a long time (mainly while sleeping)on the convex side of the curve.try this out.....best of luck

I appreciate your input, thank you. I truly need to see a chiropractor to really help my back problem, but w/no insurance, thats not really an option right now. So thats why I am searching for a back brace in the meantime so I can do things I need to do, standing for long periods of time w/o too much pain. Im still searching, so if anyone else out there has any suggestions please help. Thanks.

Wow so sorry to hear about your problem .I know about a friend who has the same problem and she feels excruciating pain .I don't know anyone with a brace unfortunately but I can offer some encouragement to keep the faith and hold on .I hope that one day they will find surgery that can correct your problem .
