What is best workout to burn fat faster? Cardio or strength training??

I have watch and read many web advertisement or written journals on what is the best way to burn your fat. FAST!! They include many methods, like cardio, strength techniques, yoga, raw food diet, etc... But, only Cardio and Strength training is the best method I've tried so far. At the first few months, I've tried the cycling and distance jogging. At first it will be damn hard and body aches all over for weeks. However, when your body can adapt you will feel steady and fitter. Your stamina is growing. But the problem is my body weight was reducing in a very slow rate. Then I tried strength training by my friend recommendation. He said that strength training is better than cardio because it will help to build the muscle and prevent the fat to accumulate. So naturally it will make us lean and stronger. I've tried that and my body weight reduce drastically. Like 2-3pounds per week. However, I've heard somewhere that the moment you stop the activity, it will make you body to grow drastically. For now I tried to alternate between both activites, like 3 days for cardio then 3 days for strength and 1 day rest. But my body weight can't drop any more weight for now like for weeks, and I don't know why. I don't know about you guys, but do you have any recommendation for me to try out? What do you guys think??

Well for me, any exercise, so long as it keeps me physically active, would be good enough, plus limiting my food intake. I think taking these two simple formulas would help one lose unwanted fats in the body.

Good for you. Unfortunate for me, my job requires me to take more time and fewer time for me to rest. I can only manage my weight by proper diet for now. but i think i will find better job in the future so that i can actively participate in physical activity.
