how to propose a girl

Today one of my friends told me that he wanted to propose a girl who is very shy. I told him the age old way of going down on knees and propose in public but problem is she is very shy and introvert girl so she might find it difficult to reciprocate as it could be embarrassing for her. so guys please help us . post some good ideas .

If that is very shy girl so it means that she is into privacy. She doesn't want to be like showbiz type wherein he has to project his love to a shy girl in front of the public. So if I were you tell your friend that he must send a letter it could be manually, email or by facebook. So how are they in terms of relationship as friends or classmates?

Maybe he should do the old way, but not in public, just the two of them. This way it would be easier to her to show her feelings without be embarassing.
