Ingrown Hair affects my skin

In my country being hairy or "balbon" is either a curse or a good sign of beauty. I don't get the old people since they always say that being "balbon" for girls are good looking or that it is sexy for men... I have talked to a lot of guys my age and younger and believe me its NOT sexy at all. I never was conscious about being "balbon" until I'm already working. Most of my peers told me to go to a waxing salon to get rid of them. Honestly I don't care at first but its getting into my nerves. They are thick and long and definitely not lady-like. Being hairy is not a good things if you are a girl. I tried cold-waxing and its very liberating. I was as smooth as a baby and I never thought that my skin looks so good. But after a few days the nightmare begins. The Ingrown Hairs starts to poke in my skin leaving red marks and even scars. I tried all of the techniques in the web but to no avail. The best relief that I got is to use steroidal cream to alleviate the pain and the redness. Then use shea butter lotion after to make the skin soft so that the hair can go out of the skin. I'm desperate! I don't have the money for laser treatments and waxing is the only method that gets rid of my hair. Can any of mylotters help me with Ingrown Hair?

Hi Freymind... I replied to your post earlier and one of the signs of symptoms of being hormonally imbalanced is having unusual hair growth for a normal lady. Have you tried veet?

I tried it and since my skin is very sensitive after only a minute on my skin it burned the hair and my skin. I can't use this as well. Maybe IPL will work for me.. Still thinking about it.

When I was in Highschool I used to envy in a good way those people who are balbon. Coz I see that they look attractive. It was the in thing before amongs women. THey find hairy ladies to be pretty and attractive. But then enters college, I was surprised when one of my HS classmates says she envies me for not having so much hairs, on my face, my legs and my arms. I said 'Huh?' and asked her why when I actually want to be hairy. Then she said lucky me I don't need to shave and she said it's painful. But personally, if I were you I wouldn't mind people. I still think that 'balbon' women are still attractive. It just depends on the person's eyes. And I've heard that most of them are just using wax too but yeah it's painful and you have to do it I think again and again when the hair grew back.
