You cannot have low self-esteem thrust upon you without your permission

I've come to understand that you cannot have low self-esteem thrust upon you without your permission. You can't be stepped on again and again unless you agree to lie down and stay there and let people step all over you. Do you have the same realization with mine?

I realized that from the time I was little and with time, I came to appreciate myself so much and I can't allow anyone to step down on me. Good to have a high self esteem.
