Do you use a tree skirt under your Christmas Tree?

I bought a gold quilted tree skirt on clearance 2 years ago. We have been using this under the tree. Before that we used a red tree skirt. Do you use a tree skirt under the tree?

I used to use a tree skirt but I have cats and they seem to think its their new liter box, so now I just use a sheet. Its easier to wash.

I buy the cheap white ones every year. I have never found one I like enough to buy and I keep saying I will make one but don't get around to it.

I have in the past, but this year we put a train all around the underneath of the tree for my son.
