I am thinking about 2012 and in doing so looking back on 2011, the world is in such a stage of change that it is hard to even conceive of the changes facing us. Certianly the weather is going to be one, and we have no control over that, but the reformation of governments through out the world seems to lead toward a very unstable world for countries. It's good to remember that a great deal of what changes we have no control over, but it's also good to look ahead and prepare to cope with what we think may happen. So I advise all to get their brain off the TV and world news and set up emergency reserves of food and other supplies. It can't hurt and may save you and your loved ones a great deal of suffering. Blessings

I have been considering this for a while too. This is a time of great change and sometimes with change there comes unpleasantries until people are adjusted. I have been telling my b/f to grab a pack of bottled water and some extra canned stuff when he goes to the store but so far, we haven't a thing extra than what we usually keep. I really am going to start doing this though. Even if we never have to use it, what will it hurt to have it right?

Personally this should be a wake up call to many no matter where you live. This is a time of trying to save and strategize for the future. We as individuals need to be doing everything we can to stock up on supplies and such especially when we see good sales, as you never know when a Crisis might hit and you might be glad you did. As agencies begin more and more to loose their funding and there is not help out there for those who need it the more prepared we are for what is yet to come, the better off that we will be.

Good ideas. Not everyone has the money or ability to do that, but for those who can, that's a terrific idea. We're going to start to do that for our new year, too.

I think that's a great idea!
We do our grocery shopping every two weeks, so at any given time there's only a maximum of two weeks worth of food and supplies in the house. It may be worthwile to save a few more. If not for anything else, it may help us stretch the grocery shopping to every 3-weeks, and maybe help in the savings.

Our country is preparing for a general election pretty soon and hope the maturity of voters could help us elect a responsible and trustworthy government to govern the country for the next 5 years. Yes, so much political changes has taken place around the globe and this shows the wisdom and political maturity of the citizens to want a better government to ease their untold sufferings when wrong choice of political parties form the government.

I totally get where you are coming from. I also looked back on 2011 and it was not a great year all in all. It was my 4th worst year in a row and 2012 does not seem to look any better. But all I can do is hope things will change for the better. I do have some personal things that need to be done this year and they will be. And I hope in doing them, that my life could start looking up for a change. I do not like being down like this. But, I try and keep an opened mind and look at 2012 as good possibilities.
