The start of 2012 - what does it mean for you? Are you happy or sad?

This is the first time at the end of a year that I feel like this - I'm actually feeling a little sad... depressed at the thought after all these years I have achieved very little, having to face up to the realities of my current state and situation. However, on the brighter side - I now have a very long list of things that I need to get done by the end of the year!

At the dawn of the new year, personally, I have reasons to stay normal & balanced. However, due to a change of place of my day job, there are certain issues for my family, especially my aged father. The new place & new assignment can isn't bad for me but on an overall balance of factors, I find it convenient if I take charge and try to manage the situation such that there is a balance in professional & personal life. So, instead of taking it all easy, I have taken the time to challenge myself to see if I can call all my experience & resources to work from home using internet marketing and the like. So, I'm all focused and anticipating right now. If I succeed, I'll have huge satisfaction. If I don't, I will not feel that I didn't make the effort! I would suggest to you to savor the present and work for future, not wasting a moment about past. Good Luck!

The new year for us isn't ringing in well, and all I can do is hope and pray that things get better. And I know we are not alone. However with that being said, only time will tell how things will pan out, all I can do is take what I have right now and work with that, I can do no more no less, it does no good to stress about the past, because the past is gone I can't change it, I cnaan only work for what I can do this moment, and right now it isn't much and its not near enough.

It is just a new calendar to me when it really does boil down to it but on the other hand, I remain rather hopeful that this will be a great year. Granted, I could be pulled back to reality, but the hope that things are going to turn around for the much better this year is just more than enough to really keep more absolutely more sane than ever before. Hopefully there are many opportunities to get done what I need to get done by years end. However, there are many times where we are going to really find ourselves with a bit less of an opportunity to do much of anything than we would like. However, let us do hope that this year is going to be one that is full of something really, really grand. Fingers do remain crossed after all.

I am looking forward to the new year. I always go back to school with my kiddos and act like it is the first day of school. A time to start over. I will spend the first few days reviewing rules and expectations. My husband and I are in a good place, the amount of arguing is minimal now. Financially, we still have a lot of lofty goals, but we will chip away at them little by little until we get there. We are out of the bad debt...credit cards and high interest loans. We are left with a manageable mortgage, and are able to start saving for retirement and college for our daughter.

hello, You dont have to worry about that, you should be proud of yourself because though it is a little thing to achieved, at least you achieved something. Me too I encounter a lot of problems and difficulties this year but I never give up changing myself for the next year 2012.. I will improve and plan my next year and I will surely follow my pattern.

I understand where you are coming from and I can sympathize with your feelings. Time really does fly by and we start to wonder what happened and why we didn't do certain things or go in a certain direction. It has been some time since my husband and I have been out of school. And now my husband is deciding to go to college. Now we have a lot of different goals and opportunities set before us. Not that we weren't busy before but now we are focusing more on being able to provide for our family when before we focused most of our time on volunteering to help others. I hope that you are able to reach your goals with regard to your plans for this year.

To be honest, i am quite nervous... Last thursday, my sister was diagnosed with bre@st cancer and we are quite disturbed on how to handle it. I am confident though, that as a family, we can work this out.

Full of expectation but a little worried and depress also. I am afraid of failure and problems and I don't know what is in store for me this coming year. Still hope for the best.

I have lost the trill of enjoying and planning the new year, by last few years. But still there is a philosophical affect of beginning of something, providing in my mind earnest hopes to do something in better ways than in the past year.
