Actually I never even thought about using Twitter to say Happy New Year. Maybe I will try that next year. I think I was to lit to be thinking about Twitter. I can see why Twitter got overloaded. When there are millions of people Tweeting Happy New Year all at once, these things can happen.

Yeah it does seem like a few too many people had been on Twitter. Naturally it is bound to happen during periods of rather high traffic. There are a lot of people with the same idea I would in fact imagine. Getting on all at once, but when everyone gets on at once, even though I'm sure Twitter's ability to accommodate people is wide, eventually there is going to be some strain.
I'm not on Twitter all that often but there have been times where I think that it has gone down because of periods of high traffic. Those wishing a happy new year would be one of those highest periods of high traffic. There are going to to be a lot of people making that wish. Then again that is the nature of websites. Sometimes it finds itself strained in levels of heavy traffic.

I am not very surprised to hear that. Since many people want to share their happy moment in the New Year with friends and families. And therefore the server can't stand it since it is over capacity. I think these websites should expect that earlier and prepare for it well before that.
I love China

Though I did greet someone as a response to their greeting.
