Many Pitbull dogs were rescued from their monster owners. I watched it in the news last night. Most of them are severely wounded. I also learned in one news last year that dogs are undergoing stressful training before they can be allowed to fight. Those who are not submissive to their monster owners are being punished. How can they do this kind of evil? Please report anyone whom you know is involved in this kind of illegal activity.

Unfortunately, I am way to familiar with pit bulls and their fighting. My EX-husband spent several years buying, breeding and fighting pit bulls and let me tell you... It almost cost him his child and his marriage. Bottom line... "Real" dog fighters are a highly organized group of people. They are very much on the down low and they will not reveal their intentions to you. People in this business know the names of the breeders that are breeding and fighting these dogs. A tightly bred pit bull will fight! It does not have to be trained. It is in the bloodlines. It is also true that these owners will kill a dog that loses in the ring. A losing dog is usually gone before the fighters return home that evening. It is understood that a "losing" dog should not be bred and therefore is rendered USELESS. Before I suggest a solution, let me explain the difference between "real" dog fighters and a person from the streets that calls himself a dog fighter. The highly organized fighters are spread across the USA. They are usually breeders or at least well acquainted with the breeders. The dogs they take into the ring are bred from the tightest bloodlines. The dogs are usually bred from two dogs that have literally fought their way to the top. (sickening) An owner or breeder will have a pit. The word spreads that so and so is having a fight and these are the dogs that are going to be there. It is almost like organizing a group of boxing matches. Large sums of money are put on the table. Then there are people that enjoy the thought of fighting their pit bulls. They do not necessarily have the best bred dogs and they usually don't have the type of funds on the table. No organization.. just a couple of guys fighting their dogs. Anyway, trying to keep this short... You must infiltrate the organization of breeders that are breeding these dogs for the ring. IT isn't as simple as someone calling the authorities on someone fighting their pit bulls in the backyard. Yes, you may save the lives of two dogs, but to really make a difference in dog fighting, the authorities must get the breeders... Any many of those breeders are very influential. I.e. Michael Vick (and it isn't just him)

Oh my God! This is indeed sickening, BeInspired. Yes. You are correct. I can never stop this, but if all of us will help one another, this would really make a big difference. Thank you for that very comprehensive response.

I think all dogs never attack their master. No problem. I understand it.

sorry so long-winded, but there is so much confusion. I wish it were completely clear. A pit bull is really an awesome dog. The dog must have a strong owner. A nicely bred pit bull does not attack your children or you. It will attack another dog or animal though. The trouble comes when people allow pit bulls to breed with other breeds. A pit bull mixed with a doberman or a German Shepard can be a very bad thing. The dog wants to protect its master and it has the jaws to kill someone!

I saw some articles about that and it is really disappointing. It is so sad to see these dogs fighting and being hurt. They are still dogs and animals created by God that needs respect. I do not know how can I be helpful to this kind of scenario. Probably report to authorities if there's any information leading to this kind of abuse.

That's also my problem. I don't have enough money and support to fight this kind of illegal activity.

It's a pity that some people derive their entertainment on the accounts of their pets. It's even more pathetic that they do all those so called training to heighten their profits. I personally is a pet lover and I felt really bad for the animals subjected to cruelty. Sadly, I alone is powerless to stop this kind of maltreatment. Perhaps we can just, on our small little ways, contribute by reprimanding people who are close to us to respect animals. After all, we have agencies -government and private that are expert to this area. Blessed day!

Yes. You are correct, sophiecheer! There are agencies. I am going to make a research with regard to these agencies. I hope to get their contact numbers.

I know of PAW, it's a non profit organization especially focused on rehabilitating animals. But I'm sorry I do too don't have contact numbers. Wish you success on your endeavor, wittynet. God bless kind hearted souls just like you!

Yes. They rescued pitbulls. I watched it in the news. There were also two actors who went there, and supported PAW. I don't care if they did it for popularity. At least they are helping the pitbulls. Some of them were euthanized due to severe injuries. The rest will be undergoing rehabilatation. I really admire this kind of organization. If I have enough money, I'll put up my own. I'm serious, sophiecheer.
