Ron Paul MUST Denounce This Ad!!

There have been many posts here about how wrong it is to "attack" the children of politicians or political candidates, and I couldn't agree more although some of the attacks referred to weren't really against the child or children but against the politician. However, here is one that literally attacks the adopted daughters of Jon Huntsman simply for having been born in China as well as Huntsman himself for not really being "American" because he spoke Chinese and adopted Chinese children. http://www.therightsphere.com/2012/01/vile-ron-paul-supporter-ad-attacks-huntsman-for-speaking-chinese-and-adopting/ If you watch the disgusting ad you'll see it is by supporters of Ron Paul, which means he didn't personally put it out there and possibly knew nothing about it. However, he obviously knows about it NOW and as far as I know he's yet to speak out against it. Any thoughts? Do you agree this supporter has crossed the line? I know I wouldn't want someone like that to support me! Annie

He did...the very same day it came out. Called huntsman personally to denounce it too I believe.

Yep, I know that now. I didn't know he'd called Huntsman but that's nice if he did. Annie

I would have to agree with you that this is NOT about the candidate, it is totally about the kids. I didn't think the Paul was this kind of politician, but if he approved this or not, he should denounce it, and go after the people that put it out.

Politics has always been hotly debated.. but the last few year, it has escalated to vile hatred it seems like.. Not good, not good at all! It's like people actually believe one party is 'good' and another is 'evil'.. How can anyone fall for that??!

I know, it's sad, isn't it? It's one thing to think one party's IDEAS are good or bad but to just hate someone because of their political affiliation is itself "evil", in my opinion. Annie

Why would Ron Paul or his supporters waste time on Jon Huntsman? Who even notices Huntsman?

I guess you'll have to ask the supporters who made that video. I agree, attacking Huntsman seems like a bit of wasted energy. Annie

With the age of computers and YouTube anyone can make a video. If any of the candidate spent their time denouncing videos they did not endorse then they not have time for anything else. Why give it any credibility by even acknowledging it. If he publicly denounces it then he is giving that person what they wanted....national attention.

Lil, that person has already gotten national attention which is why I still think Paul should make it clear he had nothing to do with it. At the end it's clear it's for Paul but it's not clear that Paul didn't endorse it. Everyone doesn't know about the Supreme Court ruling or that when a candidate approves a message he or she usually says so at the end. If I were a Paul supporter I'd want to nip this in the bud ASAP, that's all. Annie

I doubt if anyone here can guess the exact number but they don't all get noticed and played by a major network. I'm just saying if I were the candidate in question I'd want to make it clear I didn't agree with that kind of behavior. It should only be necessary to say it once even if more videos surface, in my opinion. Annie
