It is a bit strange because I come from a country that I am used to tones of snow in the winter and now it is only raining. We had only one night with a snow fall and in the morning everything had gone. Do you think the weather has changed? Is it really due to the Green house effect? What is your opinion?

I wish it would .. I have never seen a snow fall.. actually it never snows here.. the temperature here never falls that low.. well the change in the atmosphere and the weather is largely due to the green house effect.. there has been many studies that shows the rise in temperature due to the green house gases...

Wow it is so strange for me to hear such thing. Where do you live? When I was a kid I hated snow so I wished I could live in such a place as yours but now I need some hot months and then some cold so that I relax the beach parties :) Just kidding but really buddy playing outside with the snow is the best thing not only for kids but also for grown- ups who want to recall the childhood.

After all of these years, there has been a surprising lack of snow. Given that other winter for as long as I can remember, there has been snow by the bucketloads. It is kind of eerie in a lot of the time. There are just a lot of time where the snow really did come down and when there was snow, there was ice, lots of ice, but thankfully nothing like that. Of course, that could just mean that the snow is going to be rather late this year. Then again, a lot can really happen to the environment here. Then again, I'm just happy that there is no snow right now and more importantly no ice. At least for the moment. It is rather odd when I can go out on Christmas without a coat though, I'll tell you that much.

Yes, I do think we are having climate changes due to the Green house effect. Last month we had more snow that we usually get and twice as much. The year before, we had less and the snow fall for this December here was more than the whole season last year. We had about 8 inches before Christmas Day, and it is still melting. More snow is due here tonight. I also think the shift in the placement of the poles has changed the weather in many places. Thanks for the discussion.
