do you believe their manager statement that their team doesnt want be active in January window?? Jose Mourinho had stated that his team did not want to sell or buy any player in this January window..he believe that his team is enough and he doesn`t want to add any player in his squad. barcelona even without David Villa in long term period and seydou keita which play in african cup, feel that their team is still enough.. and MU by his manager said that he doesn`t want to buy any player in this january window, becuase his target player is only available in june transfer and not in january window. do you believe it`s sign of arrogant or they tell the truth??

I think most big managers tend to avoid January sale window. The reason is that usually clubs that are in urgent needs of players usually increase the transfer market rates and then players really not worth their rate are signed up. So I will not be surprised if there is not too much action from these clubs if there are no injury woes. But I think sir Alex might go in for at least one defender or midfielder in this window. Cheers! Ram

Gary Cahill is almost on his way to Chelsea. So he is not there for Man U to pick up. But Sneijder is a subject of long term interest of Sir Alex. So he might go for him, but I think the move will happen only next season. Cheers! Ram

Good teams don't normally buy new players when they are midway through the season. As they are not sure if those players are able to fit into the team, it's considered a gamble. When teams are performing well, there's really no need for players. Look at Man U, even they have up to 11 players out injured, yet they are only 3 points behind Man C. A team is not dependent on any of the starting 11, instead it's the whole team that plays for end result.

If there is a good player available and is value for money, I am sure both the clubs will try to snap him up. But usually, clubs would prefer not to sell during the January window period unless the contract is ending and he could leave for free in the summer.
