What it means to be Brave?

I am usually the first to chicken out when confrontations arise or when my imagination starts going wild (think ghosts, cats and dark places). But thanks to Mom, I have stopped believing that I am the "most unbrave" person I know. Mom has made me realize that I, too, can be Brave. And she says bravery happens when I least expect it. Like when I admit I am wrong and say I am sorry--that's courage. When I try to stay true to who I am--that's courage. And when I shoot for the stars no matter how many people try to pull me down--that's when Mom says I've been truly Brave. How about you, can you share any bravery experienced you had? What is the true meaning of being Brave for you?
