Hey all!!! I own a dell vostro laptop...I use a wired connection to browse the internet through it...A few days before,i bought a mobile with wifi..since i don't have a wifi modem in my house,i am not able to connect it to the internet... I was hoping that there might be some way to convert the wired connection that i use to connect my laptop to the internet into a wireless wifi hotspot so that i can access internet on my mobile...Any ideas??? If you have a wireless card on your computer, can be done. What you need to do is to go on your network settings. You must have one main conection where your internet coming and one wich is wireless one. Go to the settings of your main conection and change them to Share internet with this conection. Setting up this will ask wich network you want to use to share it, you point your wireless conection. This is the way without any software.

You mean that i need to change the wired connection's sharing properties to 'share it with the wireless one'?I tried doing that but after saving the setting, how do i make both of these connections active at the same time???I tried connecting the mobile device to my laptop after doing the sharing...but it is unable to find the wifi network...
