The evil of corruption is becoming an intertwined part of our socioeconomic life. I only being a student hasn't really tasted it much. Only once I had to bribe a traffic policeman, which made me feel bad. I could have easily said no, and could have opted for a more moral route, but i didn't. So have you ever had to be in such situation. Please do share your experience. Sharing such things can be a great help in understanding this peril.

So true, well said. It is the bribe-givers who encourage the corrupt.

The rich always tend to get away with their errands by paying bribes, thus the corrupt become increasingly greedy.

yeap! I have bribed a security-man when am still in secondsrySchool because he seized my ''Ball''.........and about the police, I guess join millitary work is better than online job but the badest part of it is receiving of bribe which is a corruption. All those police especiall traffic warden get almost thousands of dollar through bribe. They chanse people and take money from them which is very bad! They are suppose to stop the corruption but both use and police have been corrupted lol.

I have to bribe my younger brother all the time just to get him to do household chores. Otherwise, I'm yelling at him for him to obey me.

Never thought of it, but I don't think that I have been in a position where I have had to think about it. Then again, I'm sure there would be many people who would in fact accept said bribe, especially in this time and place. The economic shakiness is just going to lead to a great more deal of corruption than the average person would be used to. Then again, its not like I have the money to bribe people to begin with. Then again, you never know who you're dealing with. There are some people in the law who can be bought but there are some that will take their jobs way too seriously. More seriously than one could ever imagine. Still never been in that situation, so I don't think I would know one hundred percent for sure.

Exactly. But even after talking so much about how evil this corruption is, we still wind up getting involved it. It is ironic and pathetic.

Bribing is an offence in my country. Both the giver and the receiver will be severely punished if caught by the government anti-corruption agency. To play safe, I refrain from bribing as I wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of the law.

That is a great attitude. I wish most of the people think like that.

The nature of my work requires me to do so , in times when it is needed. When our company was just starting on a certain project, i was tasked to request money to be given as bribe. Much to my relief, it wasn't me who handed it to the person who will expedite the necessary documents for the project to proceed, but my boss. But there was a time though , that when a certain officer from a company we are dealing with came to the office. Since my boss was in a far place, i have to hand down the bribe. Because i have to have a document that i did give it, i let him sign that he received such amount. And he did sign! The nerve of that man , as if it's just nothing to receive a bribe and it's not a small amount !

Hi srik, Nope I never had. I once was asked by a police guy, taken my ID but I have managed to get my ID back from them. I would fight for my right when I know I didn't do anything wrong. So far, I haven't break any laws, so I never bribed anyone yet. I only bribed my younger brother before to get things for me when I feel a bit lazy to stand up

I have not had any experience like this. But i do not think that what you did was really wrong. Maybe small and meaningless bribes are harmless.

I regret a lot about what I did. That is why now I make sure I've got everything so that i dont have to get harassed by these cops.
