Our immediate reaction when confronted with adversity is to feel victimized

The common response is to ask why me? Why should others-who are mcuh worse than I am-enjoy a life relatively free from problems? These are negative feelings? How do you overcome these feelings? I think it helps a great deal to be positive. To try and really assess our situation and remember that we don't know what others are going through.

Look at the adversity at a challenge to be faced. It gives you something to do. Doing is life. If you have nothing to do, you have nothing to really live for. Sure there are people who get everything handed to them. But look at them, they all do this crazy stuff because they are bored and have nothing better to do.
Kind of what stowyk said.

Yeah it helps to look at it as a challenge, something to overcome. I agree there are a lot of people who have things handed to them and they aren't able to comprehend challenges. And so they do many crazy things that have a huge affect on their life.

I am pretty much always had the same thoughts... why me? why can I just have everything I want smoothly, like those rich people, celebrity, etc. It always feel stressfuly, but you know misfortune always changes, so i believe i will have happiness later after this suck period of time! :)

Yes we often notice how easy others have. Especially rich people and celebrities. With all the money that they have. But like you said things do turn around for us and we are able to enjoy our life. So we've got to hang in there and see how things will work out better for us.

That is very much true. We tend to feel helpless in the times of adversity. But i think this phase doesn't last long. An urge to change towards better things inspires us to buckle up and clean up our mess.
I have had many negative mindsets in my troubled times, but i have always held myself and got out of those troubles. I am sure you will come out of your problems with a smile on your face.

Yeah I'm glad that we find a way to pull ourselves out of this type of thinking. There are so many people who struggle to get through these times. It helps to have great friends and families that are there for us when we are down.
