Waking up and thinking it's a different time.

I woke up too early this morning but was convinced it was time to get up. I blame the moon! You see, the moon was very bright in the early hours this morning, so bright that some of the birds started singing because they thought it was dawn. Just recently the time we need to get up and the actual dawn have coincided. I thought I'd slept throught the alarm (not unusual!) and because the birds were singing it must be at least seven but it was actually five o'clock! Five! (and I look like that emoticon at five, I really do). I got out of bed and was all for putting the kettle on and letting the dog and chickens out, feeding the cats and cooking the breakfast but, fortunately, my husband stopped me because he knew the alarm hadn't gone off. I went back to bed still listening to the birds chirping away because they'd been fooled by the moon. Have you ever gotten up out of bed thinking it was time to get moving only to discover you were hours early? What made you think it was time to be up?

I have not done that, but there have been times when I've awakened suddenly and thought, "Oh no, I'm late!" Then I think, "Late for what? What time is it? What day is it?" It's the same day I fell asleep, the time is not much later than when I fell asleep, and I'm not late for anything.

Oh, I often do that. My other trick is waking up and thinking there is something I haven't done at work - a job I left six years ago!

Hi hvedra: Oh yes, I know this happened to me very often when I was studying at high school. I needed to wake up really early and sometimes I woke up in the middle of the night thinking that I needed to wake up at that hour But I enjoyed when I realized that I still have some extra hours of sleep ALVARO

I've done that several times. I would wake up and think that it was later or earlier than what it really was. If it is my day off, then it's not a big deal.

Whenever I faced with a relatively important thing the other day, I will easily get up very early. I think in my deep mind there is always an alarm clock to remind me of the important stuff so even without the real alarm clock I will never be late towake up.
