My Noisy Computer Chair

I have this chair which is intended for my computer. This is like an office chair. I have noticed that it is very noisy. Whenever I make a move, there's this little sound which really disrupts me. But even though it is like this, I love this chair. This chair lasted. It has been with me for 4 years now.

I agree with the others; it will probably be okay with a little oil on it. My rocking chair (a glider, really) squeaks like crazy sometimes and other times it doesn't. I need to turn it over and give it a good oiling all over, but I don't think about it until it starts squeaking and then I'm usually busy doing something else (or have company!).

yeah we neglect certain things sometimes, it's like the door in my Mom's room that makes a real funny squeak that I oil from time to time, I forget to do it not unless I have to get something from her fridge and she starts waking up and reminds me to oil those rusty hinges

@cearn25, right oil is a wonderful thing with anything that gets stuck up, that's why I keep lubricants with different viscosity all the time, depending on how I plan to use them or the situation

Well maybe it needs some oiling if you want the squeak out your old trusty chair, just look where the noise is coming from and apply a spray of WD-40 or some Singer oil, if you don't have any right now then just get any used cooking oil, if it's the main shaft then maybe it needs to be oiled too and apply some grease later, also oil and tighten all bolts and nuts, good luck
