There is so much genetically engeneered food that is being sold and not labled as such. I have read that it can be dangerous to eat because of the poisons that they spray on the crops that we eat with these GM (genetically modified or "Frankenfoods"). What are your thoughts on this? Also when the pollins from these GM crops goes into a field and pollinate the non GM food, the "owners" of the GM crops will actually "own" thoses crops that became pollinated because the GM crops are patented. I say that the GM crops tresspassed on land that they did not own.
Also the land that grows GM food is "dead" and by that I mean that earth worms and bacteria will die that woud otherwise help to feed crops. This can lead to snother "dust bowl" that happpened in the 1930 and 40s.
Why doesnt the government have people that sell GM food to put lables on then that states that the food has GM in it?

I have already heard about this thing but I really don't know how we can classify if which one is genetically modified foods or not particularly when we buy stuffs in the supermarket. I presume there are still a lot of people out there who don't know about GM foods. I think we need the right to be informed about this matter before we will suffer its effect in the end.

At first sight it may seem appealing. However, closer examination reveals that commercial and political motives are taking precedence with little regard to the possible dangers. We Already have the ability to feed the world's population without the risks posed by genetic engineering. Why subject humanity to these unnecessary risks?
I also knew that GM have some dangers including, new toxins and allergens in foods, increased use of chemical on crops, resulting in increased contamination of out water supply and food. The spread of diseases across species barriers. The disturbance of ecological balance.

I haven't really paid much attention to it since I'm so busy with other things but when you put it that way, indeed, the consequences are pretty scary. Future generations of untouched crops that have been pollinated by these GM foods will actually spread far and wide. If they can do something for these crops to be more beneficial and hazard free, then that's the time I'm going to be comfortable of having them around.
