I just want to know what's your unforgettable "fail" experience while using your computer/laptop/PC. This can be in terms of software of hardware. Let me share my top 2... While I was in 6th grade, it's my first time having an internet connection. You know those "End User Agreement" you have to agree on when installing messengers or signing up for an email account? It took me almost 2 weeks just to sign-up for one since I'm afraid to agree on that "End User Agreement" :P Of course, in 6th grade, I don't really understand what's written there so I stopped midway while reading it. Yeah! I resorted to reading the content of a sign-up End User Agreement Then when I was in my 3rd year of college, I went for an Internship training. I was supplied with a company laptop which I can use. We were allowed to have unlimited amount of coffee and chocolate drinks during that time so we always fill our mugs up. One time I placed my mug near the laptop and while I was trying to get my pen, i accidentally bumped the spoon on my mug and it toppled over, causing the hot chocolate to spill on my laptop keyboard. Spill-proof keyboards is not available at that time so my laptop screen flicked shut. My supervisor quickly assisted me and told me to just let the hot chocolate to dry off. The next day, the "CTRL" key won't work so I can't log into the laptop. I was so embarrassed and worried since I was thinking if they'll let me pay for the damaged laptop. It's a good thing they didn't

Hi dear, Your first incident made me laugh, really laugh. I am sure many of us must have such wired incidents. Though I don't remember such a funny one, I think what I feel a stuipid incident which other to laugh was really funny. It is around 20 years or more. I was first appointed for my job in a computer centere of a women's university. It was my 2nd or 3rd day in the office. April & May months are the time for the exam result processing and I was assigned to input the marks of the graduate students. The operator given the print commant for the certificates to print. Suddently he realised that the paper loaded on the printer was 2-copy sheets instead of 3 carbon copied ones. Immediately he asked to stop the printer as the papers are getting wasted. As it was a line printer connected to a UNIX operating system, and so many pages got alrady printed. He given the instruction from a long distant glass cabin and I was just outside the printer room. I understood that he was asking to stop the printer. As I was not fully awere how stop the printer, I just got into the room and started pulling the paper from the paper box which is kept outside. There were so many girl students and other staff around and all of them started looking at me and started laughing. Mean time the operator come inside and stopped the printer by pressing the stop button. However, he simply said, we got another alterntive way to stop the printer...!@!# After so many years also, if the operator get a chance to meet me, he will ask 'EVEN NOW ALSO YOU ARE STOPING THE PRINTER BY PULLING THE PAPPERS OR NOT?....'

That can happened when we are panic and can't focus on the right thing. That time the only one thing you could think is to stop the printer. Don't worry, you learned the lesson already~(^^)

That's something else! Normally one would pull the plug or something right? :P Maybe everyone's in a frenzy that you ended up doing the first thing that popped in your mind :D You should've just said "I was just unjamming the printer since it's all piled with papers" :P

2 weeks??? That's really funny.. ROFLMAO Unfortunately i don't have funny experience to share, but i have one unforgettable "fail" experience. It happened when i was on first grade at senior high school, one evening my computer won't start, it just bleeping with stupid "boot failure" message, maybe because i am just to tired from school, i kicked my computer real hard until the case opened and suddenly the hard disk drive made weird noise and emitting fire spark which really cool, and i run out of my room.. lol After that my parent scolded me.. *sigh* ------------------------------------------------------- sorry for my poor english, i hope you get what i mean..

No worries. I do understand what you mean and I did the same thing. Only I didn't kick it :P I'm not really a patient person especially when PCs are concerned so whenever my machines slows down or takes a really long time to load or process something, I tend to give it a loud whack or shut it down manually. I can imagine how hard you kicked your CPU that caused the hard disk to spark . Well, lesson learned :P Were they able to fix your computer?

Nope, it was totally broken, i simply dumped it, but i keep the hdd, it's 500Mb Quantum fireball, ancient stuff eh, even usb flash drive has way much more storage than that. I put it on the wall just to reminds me to stay cool when i face some trouble. Yeah, i learned my lesson well, i have to unplug the electricity cord before i kick my computer :p
