I haven't watched the original so I didn't know what to expect.. At first it looked to be a horror/thriller but then it went on with a bit of comedy that wasn't that good. The progression was fast though, so it wasn't boring but there was a time when I just wanted it to end. The effects were good but somethimes it looked too computerized. it was exciting at some times though. It was an okay movie to watch if you don't have anything else to do and not expect too much of it.

Yes, it's a vampire movie mixed with a bit of comedy. Not like the usual vampire movie though but a comedy horror film. A remake of the film with the same title but a sort of teenage movie, about a teenager whose neighbor is a vampire.

well..in the 80s..thers was this boom..for teenage movies..
so back in 85..this Fright Night is teenage movie with vampire neighbour..
so this 2011 remake.. still have that 80s feel to it.. eventhough it a present day take.

yes..if u have seen the original ..u will also find that the story was hasty and progressing too fast..as if the director counting on people already watched the 1985 version.. the comedy is okay..but a tad too much making it not so horrific..unlike the 80s version..the vamppire isnt humourous..while in this new one..Colin Farrell.. is rather sarcasticly funny.. so theres some bad part..
try and check out the original fright night..u will like it.. the peter vincent is better...

after u see it.. it will be more interesting to put comments here.. because i can talk about it more.. if u havent seen it..then most things like who da fkkkk..is Peter Vincent..will not occur to u..
so after seeing it..it wil be more fun...

I guess this film which is remake, is not to frightened the movie goers but to show it in a humorous way. I think too that some of the remakes are not the same as the original version, maybe the director thought they would attract more viewers if they did it in their own, which I thought some viewers don't. Thanks for your time my friends.

I do buy a dvd copy of it and planning to watch but as of the moment I haven't tries to watch it.

You should at least try to watch, maybe you'd like it. Colin Farrell is there and he gave a good performance.

I have it on my laptop. But has not watched it yet. My mom seen it but because she is a fan of horror/thrillers she told me I should watch it. But then yeah I have read that it has a bit of comedy too. So well I think I'm just gonna watch the movie when I feel a bit bored.
