Problem in playing Counter Strike with windows 7 operating system 64 bit

hey friends i am very much addicted to gaming. and counter strike is my one of the best game by whom i can spent all my free times. but you know when i was updated my operating system and using windows 7 64 bit operating system. i am unable to play counter strike in my own machine. It is very frustrating that when i installed the counter strike every thing is right no warning occurs and after when i double click on game a dialog box appears saying that the memory less than 15 MB etc. so what can i do friends ? can anyone help me to sort out this problem ? and one thing one more i am using 64bit i3 processor .

Hi, I also have windows 7, 64 bit operating system in my laptop and I was facing the same problem. Just go to the game properties, change the game compatibility to windows 7 service pack one. I think you will be able to play it.

hi i already tried this step to start the game but it was no working and problem remains continue.so now what to do? why 64 bit processor are not compatible with some games like counter strike ,one of my friend suggest me for some patch file to download and fix it with the game.

why not use windows 7 32 bit, old game can only use 32 bit. I think with OS you have it using Direct-X 11 so the problem occur when running old application/game.

Try these steps out!!! 1 Run your game as an administrator. I think it will work out. 2 If not troubleshoot compatibility, windows will show you the best configuration. 3 Check your directx settings, there might be some issues. 4 Upgrade your game by applying the latest available patch on the net. 5 If problem occurred after patching, reinstall the game but don't apply the patch.
