Should every movie ends in happiness????

A happy ending movie????? I've watched many kinds of movies especially from the hollywood, and most of them end in happiness. I liked it, but today i think that they are ridiculous, i am able to guess the end of every movie so that there is no any surprise at all in the movies. I want to watch movies with various kinds of endings not only "happy ending movie"... What about you?????

yeah Lhenni, a happy ending movie is kinda boring, the more twisting and the more puzzling the movie, the more excited I am.....(thanks for approving my friend request :))

Im going to have to say no. Happy endings appeal to the mass audience watching these hollywood productions which is why a lot end with the protagonist succeeding. However I believe a real true and well made moive is one that tells a story extremely well. And as we all know in real life, not everything comes to a happy end. There are unsolved murders and crimes in the world and I believe those stories would make an even more interesting movie!

some people say that a happy ending movie can make them more comfortable, because the good will be always win. It makes them believe that the bad can always be defeated.....

Well you could watch some older movies like Bonnie and Clyde, Butch Cassady and the Sundance Kid.

I haven't watched those movies, thanks for the suggestion...

Happy ending is usually what movie addicts expect. People go to the movies with happy expectation at the end. I guess movie makers are informed of this expectation and produce movies based on what is expected. Probably people would not see the movie if most movies end with sadness. You see, people with personal problems usually get better after seeing a movie. They may learn something from it. Their hopes are raised, and their lost aims in life is restored.

I like to watch movies who have a different ending. You know that feeling that you think you already know what will happen but it turns out that it will not? I like it. You didn't expect something to happen like this or that. Happy endings stories don't buy me. I want something unique.

hi superslix, i like watching movie and you are right about most of the movies end with a happy ending. but there are some movies which have an open plot especially for a horror or thriller movie. well for me it depends on the situation. i mean if i get stress, then i will choose a simple movie with a simple story and prefer the happy ending. but if i want to challenge myself i'll watch kind of horror or thriller movie which usually have an open plot ending. that makes me think about the conclusion of the movie.

Hi Nonik thanks for your comment, open plot ending gives us chance to be more curious about "what next?" and it's far more interesting than just watching a monotone ending movie.

It depends on the message intended by the film maker. Like if he wanted make people know about any bitter reality of world, he would probably make a sad ending. If the movie is only intended for entertainment or to highlight the beauty of life or something, then there would probably a happy ending.

it really depends... it's just that people are used to have happy ending for in real life happy ends doesn't really happened. i love tragic movies... i just love how they work it out... i mean the ending part. how they close the whole chapter and how they find closure is very challenging for the writer...

well...i do not care so much about whether the ending is happy or not as much is realistic enough to happen..When i see a comedy then this should ends happily and a drama should end dramatic. But about Hollywood films the problem is that are showing things which are not real and i do not mean fantasy stories but i mean daily stories from their lives. They present that their lives are perfect, easy and in fact it is not perfect at all.. This is why all the films have happy endings. If you want to see other true stories with other endings then you should watch intenrational and european films.

I do not think so that all film should have a happy ending because films are made not only for amusement purpose but also to portray some social message to the common audience.

That would be really boring. Happiness and sadness are both part of our lives. We are not always happy with everything in our daily life. Not all outcomes are what we would have wanted it to be. So, why should movies be any different.
