I am a Chick-etarian. I LOVE chicken. I was wondering if being a vegan or vegetarian is as healthy as those who promote it say? I don't like the taste of most meats like beef, pig, sheep, or deer, so I end up most of the time getting chicken salads, and the like. My question, does anybody know that if I only eat chicken with my vegetables, will it be enough protein? I am a little scared to lose muscle because I may not be eating right. I take vitamines like B-12, c,d,e, and others. I would really like to have some feedback on this, because I don't want to end up sick. Thank you. :) :)

There are actually lots of people that follow a mainly vegetarian diet with the exception of chicken or fish. If you are concerned with your protein intake, a simple solution is to make sure you supplement it. Their is loads of protein in nuts and beans. Make sure you add these elements into your diet along with chicken, vegetables and fruits and I'm sure you will be just fine.

Thanks, geekygirl. You are right. I forgot about nuts, and beans. I have been focusing on fruits, grains, herbs, and veggies, I plum forgot about them. That will give me something to ponder for the next grocery day. AWSOME! Have a great day. :) :)

I heard from a friend that soy products are as good a protein source as meat. I don't know much about all these things but I admire your aspiration on living healthy.
