MMK: Bringas brothers' life story

I have watched them during the Pilipinas Got Talent show. Even that time when Kris asked them few questions about their lives during PGT, many people have been touched how in good and in difficult times, they have loved and supported each other as siblings. In a family, there are always siblings' squabbles, rivalry or fights and it's seldom that there are ones like Jeff and Kurt Bringas. Their MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya) story is a touching and inspiring one. The older brother, Jeff, gave up the love of his life hoping that God would spare his brother's life and in order to care for his younger brother, Kurt, who was diagnosed of bone cancer. It's refreshing to watch that it's not all about family betrayals or families killing each other that are featured in TV's but also about families/siblings loving and supporting each other. Well, I'm maybe overdramatizing things but I'm just touched by the Bringas brothers' story

I wasn't able to watch the whole story of the Bringas brothers. But i was able to catch that scene where, the brother told his stricken brother to fight for his life, because he himself, let go of his lady love in order to ask for his life in return. It was a selfless love of the brother that kept them going.

If in the future Jeff, the older brother, will fall in love again, then surely the lady he's going to love will be lucky. It's not always that there's a man who is able to give selfless love. Thanks!

That is right. it is truly a wonderful story and it is something that should remind us all that love of the family is still the greatest of all. family, after all cannot be replaced and we should always remember that they are part of us, of what we are and what we can be.

Correct! No matter what kind of family we have, whole or broken, they are what made us Thanks, chiyosan, for the response!

What a touching story indeed! Seldom we can find such closeness in siblings. I was really touched. You can tell who relly love and care for you in times of your trials in life.

One factor is how their parents have lovingly brought them up. Parents should also be examples to their children. It was really an inspiring story. Thanks, bluespygirl!

I didn't know about the Bringas Brothers. Not until I watched their life story last night. Base from the story, I really cried because I felt bad on how they live. The brothers are very strong and sacrificed a lot of things.

Yes, the Bringas story is an inspiring one for all of us. The most that we hear today are sibling rivalry like the Ramgen murder case. If only the siblings of Ramgen had even one half of the love of Jeff for his brother, then the murder wouldn't have happened. They should have learned their lessons from Jeff and Kurt. Most families now try to outdo each other. Siblings want to prove they are better, richer and more successful.

I agree. The Bringas brothers are a good example of how siblings should be loving and supporting each other. Yup, I had the Ramgen murder case in mind when I posted this Thanks, Yahnee!
