MyLot detects when you are trying to earn rewards rather than using the search to search for information and will not reward you. Indeed if you abuse it you will lose your account. MyLot is a discussion site and the other activities, the search and the tasks are secondary ways of earning here. If we use them correctly we will earn with them but if we abuse them we will not be here long. I also tried the mylot search engine a few times biut did not got any reward . I guess every time we log in we should use the mylot search engine for our search purpose, we may get reward o our lucky day.

Rewards are given randomly, don't expect to earn one each time you are using the search box. As mysdianait said, you can be banned if you abuse the search engine, so use it only when you really need it.
