I just re-installed and updated my Ubuntu OS to the latest version and now, I feel like I have a new computer. And later tonight, I'll be doing the same with the other partition and re-install Kubuntu so it would seem I have two new computers.
Even my Firefox browser seems new to me without the AdBlocker plug-in because I see a lot of advertising on the webpages. They are so lively and pleasant to look at.
Anyway, there are still a lot of software that I'll be installing so I'll be busy for quite a while. Hmm. I can't wait to try Thunderbird later and have fun sorting my emails.
So, have you tried doing something new lately?

Ubuntu is best linux with great uodates all time. I had this os in my college pcs where we need to perform lab works. It is very nice os with aducate amount of security, more graphical ui, best easy to use ui, better support from the developers, it have high value from canonical. I lked it much but it lack much in compars to windows which is the softwares and it is quite complex to operate.
I had heard of kubuntu but didn't know what it is . Are both ubuntu and kubuntu same? What is diffrencd in them?

Kubuntu is just a variant of Ubuntu so the two are practically the same, but Kubuntu uses KDE for its GUI rather than Gnome. With KDE, the overall look and feel of the operating system is much closer to Windows than with Gnome.
You can have multiple Linux OS installed in one computer together with Windows. As for me, I was able install three versions of Ubuntu in my computer, but I ran out of disk space so I went back to having just two--Ubuntu and Kubuntu.
The nice thing about Linux OS (whatever the version) is you can access the disk (or the other partitions) for all of them including Windows. On the other hand, I can only see my Windows partition from Windows.
If you use Ubuntu, Firefox is the default browser so it is installed with the OS. With Kubuntu, the default browser is Konqueror so Firefox needs to be installed. But with its package manager, you can easily install the currently supported version.
By the way, you can download the installer for Ubuntu/Kubuntu and burn it on a CD or DVD. You can then boot from the CD or DVD to test drive the OS.
