Is it possible to save your operating system (windows) copy and save it in iso file on your usb? I think it would be better to save my operating system as a back up. I haven't try because I don't know how to do it.

Hi., you can save your windows OS in ISO images by using some software. It will protect that OS from getting affected by harmful virus.

There are more software available for converting our file into ISO images. It will get secure from virus. MagicISO, anytoISO are the software to create your file as an ISO image.

Yes, I believe it can be done, by creating a system image if your system exactly the way it is. You would need a large external drive. The first back-up would take a long time, but then most software would back up say once a week or similar to that, so that it was kept up to day. Here's is a link with more information for you - (not an affiliate link)... http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/663-backup-complete-computer-create-image-backup.html

I think it would save you a lot of time if you'd just reformat a fresh copy of windows. What's the deal in saving your computer's OS anyway? If you mean a backup copy of your files then of course you can make a back up by saving your important files to a USB or burn them in a dvd. Just reformat your computer it would save you a lot of time and you won't do anymore searches and learning ways on how to back up an OS.

Yes and no.. You can make an image of the hard disk drive on which your OS is which will be c: by default if you have only one OS!! So whatever you have on that drive is backed up and when you restore that image you have exactly the same OS that you had before.. You cannot make an ISO installation disk of your customised Windows OS.. The best tool for this is true image by Acronis but you have many other tools too.. Another thing you can do is if you have read about virtual OS using Virtualbox (opensource) or VMware, you can make an exact virtual copy of you whole system.. Remember Virtual OS runs inside your computer OS.. If you want to know more about virtualisation try googling it..
