As I was watching the news on the television, they featured the people who are Millionaires that is below 30 years old and those who were drop out from school. The first one they featured was the founder of Facebook, the next one was the developer of Firefox, deviant art, and word press. Have you ever wondered why they are rich even though they haven't earned a degree? Would you agree that to be a millionaire is not measured on what degree you have earned but it is on how brilliant your idea is?

It is already proved that the most succesfull people (no matter if they are actors or millionairs) seldom finished their school. Frequently they were not even accepted at famous schools, telling them they are no good. So this proves that if their is that will you will succeed or.. that schools are not able to recognize real talent!

Hi Thanks for responding! I think to be a millionaire is not based what you had learned on school its on how you hold your money.

Hi, They are trying to show people there other options to get good pay or even become a Millionare. Yes, the idea is worth a lot but it is only idea you have to prove that it will work and show people on how to create it so people will buy into the idea or product. If the product has flaws as you are building it then this proves it was not a good idea. Plus college and universities are so high in cost now people and youth are looking for alternatives to make money. There can be only so many music players and actors it so saturated now that movies are not as great as they used to be abd the same with Cable TV series etc... Thanks Unique16

I wish i would have thought of something spectacualr as that and i wish i was making alot more money but i hope to get a raise soon at work and hope that it will help me soon too since ive been working at my job for almost two years and i have gotten only one raise and dont think its fair since others do and i dont. Well i have a high school diploma even after i dropped out i stayed focused on getting one and then i did go to college so i also have a college degree too. There are alot of famous people out there that dont have degrees and make millions each year.

First of all, I would almost guarantee that any millionaire under the age of 30, if they hadn't been born with the money through family, do NOT have degrees. After all, it's hard to make any money with those massive student loans, is it not? Every successful person I know does not have a college degree and makes more money than the average American household. Take my father, for example. He bought a real estate property at seventeen and started renting it out to be a landlord...now, just over thirty years later, he owns a good portion of real estate (both residential and commercial) in the city in which I live as well as numerous surrounding cities, and he makes six to seven digits of income per year, depending on which properties are vacant at different points of the year. I followed in his footsteps and bought a property at fifteen, another at eighteen--but I do not desire to have that amount of money and the headaches that come with it. I may buy another property while the interest rates are at a historic low, but after that, no more! I personally have an enormous amount of respect for anyone who surpasses college and goes the motivational/hard work route. I went to college...twice. I went for dietetics and did all the coursework other than the internship, and I also went to an online college for finance. College, overall, is the biggest scam I've ever seen be publicly accepted. I learned little to nothing in college and had gone wanting to learn. The coursework is full of classes you must pay for but have no direct link to your major. For what you get in college, I would maybe pay $2000 for an entire bachelor's degree, yet they expected $3000 per quarter. College is not worth it, and the $1,000,000 more in income that colleges claim degrees get their students relative to those just with a diploma is actually not true. If you include student loans in that, you'll find that people with college degrees and those with diplomas are actually much, much closer to even. I could go on all day about this subject...but in the end, let me just say that the smartest people are those who do not go to college and succeed on their own. The average American IQ has been steadily going down over the years, and after going to college twice, I can see how that can happen with such a terrible education system. If you're smart, skip college if you can (based on your hopeful career, unfortunately) and do something with your life!

Hi craziestqueenever Well, to be honest, study or more precisely, a degree from college or anywhere is not any reason to be a millionaire. What is needed is the idea and how you approach towards completing or implementing that idea. Anything that catches fancy of the people will help. But going by the conditions in the world today, it is more about making peoples' life easier. If you have an idea that can help achieve this, there are high chances to become a millionaire even without any education. And also, you must have some worldly knowledge - like how to make others work so that you reap the Benefits - like Mark of FB

Either of those people are lucky or perhaps exceptional. It is rare to find that is why there are only a few of them. How I wish I was one of them. Hahahaha! Most of us have to work hard and earn only a few and even at an old age still we are not millionaires. There are those who earned a degree yet still does not seem to have that luck in so far as wealth is concerned. But what is important is that we live, we enjoy and make the most of life.

Sometimes I wonder if all school does is teach us to think in a limited way, to work in a limited line of work where those high up make all of the money and we only get a small token amount of salary. Granted, that might not be true, but for every person who does not have a college education that is a success, it does make you wonder if getting a degree is important as society wants us to believe. The entire educational process all the way through is rather rigid. It does really not leave all that much room for innovative thinking. Some teachers are more flexible than others, but pretty much everyone and everything is by the book. Some people are rather going to be a success without a degree and those with a degree are forever drowning in the rat race.

I think when a person becomes successful, the first thing most of us including me myself will pay attention to the things not so relavant with his success such as the school records or so. So we would be curious about the reality. Yeah maybe the currrent education system do restrict somehow, but we cannot blame it completely. Education does bring us with a good knowledge of many things. If we learn the millionaires personality and their background, we would find out more about why they can be so successful.

Most of people who earned degree just to be workers, not be a entrepreneur. This is fact. Yes, when I was in college (studied of Law) I just know about rules of laws, of course we are not becoming a millionaire if we just to be a worker.

Bill Gates' also a school drop out but he now owns Microsoft :D I do believe that people's success is not solely based on their educational level. Sometimes, drop-outs excel more compared to those who hold degrees because they have this "feel" and "urge" that they should work more to prove themselves. These people are brimming with ideas and put those ideas in action :)

I think that it is simply an indictment of the education system. The school systems try to make students conform to one or two ways of learning. When a brilliant mind that learns differently from these two methods runs into it, they must either leave or continually hit their head against the proverbial "wall". Now, I would not say that everyone should just drop out of school. The ones that become millionaires are rare and are special cases. For the majority of us mortals, education is the best bet to get ahead. What I think it proves, though, is that a centrally run education or government is inferior to a creative mind or free enterprise for creating a higher standard of living for the majority of us.

Yes I would have to agree on that. Not a degree can guarantee us to be the richest man but the intelligence we have and the courage to purse what we believes in will be the best armor. And of course our faith that God will guide us on every decisions and ventures we make. Sometimes no matter how screwed our life is and how stupid we made mistakes, if we only have the strength that comes from within - we can definitely go that path of being millionaires too like them. We just have to believed that things will end up how we want it to happen and make use of our brilliant ideas.

Yes i agree that some people are smart enough to be rich without a degree and further studies. Is about how smart you are, your ideas and of course luck. But that does not mean that you have to drop out your studies, i think that this is wrong because you study for knowledge not only for money.

people become wealthy when they have the courage to go and make their dreams a reality
