Well, I have been desperately looking for unique baby name around the world over the internet. I wish could find unique name which is unusual, easy to spell and meaningful. I started searching the name by meaning, definitely I always looking for positive meaningful name. I am searching name with meanings like happiness, grace, brightness, smiling or whatever name like that. As parents, we must give good name for our kids since it could be good start if they have meaningful name and also our wish or pray for our children.I found lots of girl name but not so many for the boys.. How about you? How do you find name for your kids? Do you also consider to be unique and meaningful at first place or nice names first?

Well myzhian, appreciate your response…I think that could be interesting and good preparation so once you have a baby no problem to pick up the right name for them.. I think your approach is workable rather than like myself who still struggling to find right name for my baby..best name for a baby could have different criteria from one people to another.. However, everyone should have their own preference..

You know, I actually chose both of my children's names to name them after someone that was important to me. My daughter's name is Kathryn Teresa and she was named after my great-aunt that I always loved growing up and also after Mother Teresa because she was a role model to me growing up. My son's name is Paul Thomas and he was named after a friend of mine that passed away when we were in college and also after his father.

My oldest I had picked a name for until she was born....then the named changed. Dawn is her name now and it was going to be Amy. But she was born at dawn...and it was a new start for her and I .....her father was missing. My youngest daughter was named by my ex...and my son. His name means leader to the promised land. I hope you find something that suits your baby!

a lot of classic names that aren't necessarily common are coming back. Maybe look into what some popular names were 100 years ago?

Well, you have good points.. Name is just like like fashion, the trend always rotate back to the old ones.. I think will be beneficial to look back on the older names like you said..Maybe I will find not only meaningful name but also unique name and not many people will having it at the moment.. I almost taken name of my favorite soccer player but it will be terrible if he is doing something silly in the future and my son will feel ashamed of his name in future..appreciate your response..

I don't know how indonesian look when choosing a baby name. But I believe you have to have an indonesian name, at least that I was told. If not, it will be more easier. One way you can do is by looking a common name but in other language. Like mine, in English or commonly known as Michael. But I use other language that is a translation for Michael where it come out as Mikhail. Try that approached first. Maybe it will help a lot and easier.

Well, really appreciate for your great tips.. I think that was great idea, meaningful name can be search from anywhere..In facts, I have some stocks of names from foreign language but the key here is to find the name which easy to pronounce and spell by Indonesian as well. .Otherwise his friends and people he may face in future will have difficulty, even many people has foreign names in my country nowadays. I think I will combine those kind of foreign name with old Indonesian name, just like from Sanskrit or old Javanese name..

Finding a name for your child will always be a challenge. I remember when we were picking out a name for my daughter, I must have looked through a dozen sites! But in my opinion, its great that you want a name that is unique and has great meaning, but it should also be meaningful to you and your spouse. good luck!

Well, you have good points…We must give our baby meaningful and unique name so that he or she will be proud about their names and easy for others to recognize rather than using common name..Sometimes people associates certain name with somebody else they have met before so there will be another nickname to differentiate them from others..well, I think I have visit more than dozen sites, maybe need to visit more and more and getting another source to find more ideas…appreciate your response..
