2012 end of the world?

It is interesting to see how the Bible describes the end of the world: "5 And God did not spare the ancient world—except for Noah and the seven others in his family. Noah warned the world of God’s righteous judgment. So God protected Noah when he destroyed the world of ungodly people with a vast flood." - 2 Peter 2 (New Living Translation) We can see that the planet Earth was not destroyed, but the ungodly people, and there were survivors, Noah and his family, eight persons who are the ancestors of us all. Jesus compared the time we live in with Noah´s days: " 37 “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. 38 In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. 39 People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes." Matthew 24 (New Living Translation) So, it is possible to survive the end of the wicked world - just like Noah and his family did!

I've been alive for 38 years now, and I have been hearing about the 'end of the world' predictions since I was 8 years old. Thus, 30 years of non-stop predictions and nothing happened should make me realize now that only God knows. For me, what's important is that I live my life to the fullest and to the best possible way I can. I am not going to worry about the end of the world happening sooner or later. I will just spend each day of my life in accordance to His will. That's what matters most when the end of our time comes.
