if you are doing such task that demand your ip address just do that task buddy, because yours IP is dynamic and every time you reconnect the modem then your IP will be different than previous one. so just chill, don't be so afraid on doing such task that requires your IP as proof.because form your Ip they are able to approve your submitted task. and either you are doing such task or not ,you should install a good firewall to prevent the hackers away from your system.because every site you surf or join in internet they keep your ip address when enters in it. so it is not your private information that you can hide from everyone.if you want that no one can able to see your IP address then just switch off your Modem and don't connect it again.

High-five vt!! Kalebtheman, you're not gonna be keeping your modem on 24/7 i hope. You should go to www.whatismyip.com first... turn off your modem, go to the site again and check the difference in your ip address [i've noticed it, thats why i'm saying it] IP address is the most valid proof that you have completed the task.

I'd say..go for it. Tasks are approved by mylot admins , mylot never wants to kill your privacy ;)

Tasks are NOT approved before they are posted! If you feel that a task is asking for personal information which it is not legitimate or safe to give, you should report it and it will be investigated.

While it is true that your IP address can be used by hackers (but, of course, you do have an adequate firewall running, don't you?), every website that you access can see your IP address and routinely records it, so it's not actually private information at all. The tasks which ask you to give your IP address usually do so in order to verify that you actually did visit the site specified and completed the task. If you feel that giving that information is unnecessary or unsafe, then do not do those tasks.

You still don't get it. IP is like the greatest proof out there that you actually completed a task. They don't ask your IP unnecessarily. Such taskmasters just require a SOLID proof, some might even ask for screenshots (well that's a different story)

I haven't tried this but I think its quite dangerous to lend other users your personal information. I mean, thats one of the basics in the internet isn't it?

You should also be careful with your accounts and with the task that they give. Anyway, what kind of task is it?

I do not think ip addresses are meant to be private but our computer should have some security though what in the computer world can not hacked? I would say it up to the individual to protect themselves though. Protecting our ip is not one of them as it is too easy to obtain. Just my opinion.

Yeah i agree but who would simply throw it away to people whom they don't know???Its better if others don't know where you are from unless its you close friend or a person you trust...

When you give your ip address, you are actually giving another person who might use it to get into your pc and access you info...It makes their job easier...But i think most people ask ip to verify the country from which you are for country depended tasks...So if you believe the person to whom you are providing the ip,its pretty okay like if your friend puts up an ip task, its okay but never provide ip to people who you don't know...

• India

so your suggesting me to do only those ip needed tasks which have been set up by my friends? so these tasks are all about luck eh? depends on the nature of the task creator eh? ...

HI Kalebtheman whatever people may say I dont think it is safe to provide your IP. SO I generally avoid tasks that ask me to provide the IP address even if they are high paying. cheers
