Lamp on Dressing-Table - Lamp looks better on here!

John is off work for 3 days and it's great when he puts his time to good use, otherwise I just KNOW he'd get bored. Anyway, I've posted a new photograph of my lamp and it's now situated on the dressing-table. John has swapped it over with the set of drawers it was on before and I reckon it looks much better. He's also removed the bookshelf. Much more "Feng Shui" don't you think?

That is so awesome! My husband thinks he has done all the work he needs to do when he comes home. He can have several days off and just sit. amazes me. I can't sit still without doing something. We are complete opposites. The lamp really looks nice!

To be honest, sitting around is normally what my husband does whenever he's off during the week. However, he knows that certain things have been driving me nuts for quite some time so I was really pleased he helped me out with the dressing-table..I've been wanting that moved for months, even before I got the lamp..so I'm happy and let him know how kind he's been. One thing I don't want to be is ungrateful. Glad you like the lamp. I like it better now than I did.

I love the lamp! And it looks beautiful with that dressing table. I have a nephew helping me out with some difficult work in the garden. Part of it is something he owes me, as I had his dog last year and Ollie bit me the water spurts.

I think Mum may ask her grandson to help her during the summertime, especially at the top of the garden that is hard to access. I'd do it but - of course I'm not there often enough to make a difference, so to speak. He has said he needs to lose weight too so it would be an ideal activity to him..digging!

Funny, but it does look better now. And it is still in the same position. Maybe the removal of the shelf made it look better. I do like that little lamp though, I still am not a fan of the shade. But if it goes with it, then it works.

Well, the dressing-table is actually wider than the other set of drawers it was on. It is confusing as it looks like it's the same set of drawers with a mirror on it..but, trust me, it's completely different lol. I think the mirror gives the illusion now that the lamp is smaller..and I'm well chuffed my little "removals" experiment has worked.

Well it does look better. I guess little subtle changes make a big difference. But of you feel the mirror makes it look smaller then remove the mirror and the lamp would look much better. At least try it.

The wall, dressing-table and lamp are well matched in colour.It amazes me to read about "Feng Shui" ,do you set store by that?

I'm no expert in Feng Shui. Some people will design their homes with it in mind. With me, if it feels right I go with it...and the dressing-table in its new place feels right. If that's Feng Shui it wouldn't surprise me as I like to have the bed facing the window too..and that's very Feng Shui, apparently, without me realising it at the time.

I feel wonderful when I have a productive day. It means that I didn't waste any minute of my day by just sitting or doing nothing. As much as possible, I want my every day as a productive day. But there are times I feel tired so I need to rest myself. But I make sure I have done something worthy. It is really a nice feeling to be a productive person.

I do know what you mean. Sometimes I feel guilty if I don't have a productive day..and it can be something simple like baking I can do to make me feel better. It's more productive making my own goodies than relying on shops to rip me off instead.

It's absolutely a great day for you to be productive. And it seems that you are using it really well. I don't have any idea about Feng Shui but I am sure that it brings good luck if we are to put the things on the correct position. Many people are liking and believing this Feng Shui things...and I could see that it really brings good luck to most people who are having it especially in their homes. Have a nice day!

Well, I must've done something right because I'm not stressed in that room anymore. Mind you, it does have better light in there than the front bedroom (where Feng Shui doesn't really exist lol) so that helps with my "feel good factor".

hi haney I dont know how productive I have been today as I slept in all morning but have been mylotting all afternoon and now evening so perhaps I will earn a little bit anyway.I like your lamp there on the dressing table . it looks good there.
