We've all said this haven't we? It usually involves food or drink..or both! You start off with good intentions then BAM! It all goes out the window because you've suddenly become addicted to Maltesers...or some such snack. It doesn't help when 1) hubby could eat a million of them and not put any weight on and 2) if I only LOOK at a Malteser the opposite is true. Will it put me off? NOPE!

Happily I don't have to limit my self so much, because I don't have a problem with my weight. However I know that feelng very well when one of my friends gives me some chips, and I just have to take more and more! But it all has a line. If you eat too much you will just consider something too sweet or salty. Thank God for that : ).

It doesn't help when I bake the wrong things as well. I used to make just the oat biscuits, now I'm adding things like chocolate chips to make them more exciting. I'll never learn!

Then don't buy choclate chips or other things. If You don't have them at home You probably won't eat them (providing You don't run to the shop :) ) And when you are in the shop just try not to buy them every time, or buy a small pack.

I see myself on this topic too! Specially about food, I say that I'm only going to eat one little piece of chocolate and when I see half bar was gone.

What bar size we talking about here? A guy I went out with a few years ago bought me a Cadbury's Dairy Milk that was about a foot long. He couldn't believe it when I told him it only lasted a day.

That is true...I am better off without treats in the house that I really like...I can't eat just one! I however do gain weight from them. I don't drink so that is a plus or I probably would consume more then I should...LOL

I can't walk away from Reese's anything! I gotta have it, gotta buy it, gotta eat it! The only way I can limit myself is say first I've gotta eat a bunch of fruit or anything else low in fat and high in nutrition. I wait two hours and then eat trail mix with Reese's Pieces in it! It's not my first choice but is a good compromise, while hubby sits there eating God knows what sweet, fattening thing! (Damn)

Good for you! I do think some of us have more addictive personalities than others. My wife is a lot like you!

I saw a ridiculous article after Christmas which was about how to use up leftover Maltesers. What sort of weirdo has *leftover* Maltesers?

I have sweet tooth! I would look for something sweet after dinner, before going to sleep (just like right now). I go into the cupboard and see the kid's snacks. They also have their sweets too. I'd also say I'd just grab a couple. Soon, it will become 'I'll just grab a handful, a couple of times'. And before I stop myself, I've already have a couple of bags. I like Maltesers too!

I am one that gains weight by looking at something. And I also have been heavy years ago and lost lots of weight when I became diabetic, now I put most of it back on and I really need to lose the weight. I am not feeling as good as I used to. No more snacks for me.

Thats how it is. All the things that taste good are really no good for us. I know thats not fair and I do wish it was the other way around, but it is what it is. I guess we have to change our mindset.

This is so good to be true. At first we are reluctant to taste a food being prepared because we might gain weight or another example could be that we hesitate to try things out because we are afraid of bad outcome. But then in the end we didn't realize we actually made it.
