Can you use link bucks on mylot and other forums too?

I never use link bucks before; once a mylotter introduce me about this website, and told me how much he made, I start my curiosity on this website. From what I read, I haven't sign up with it yet, they will reward you if someone read your links, like the link to your blog, a link to your post in a forum, etc...... Is that a truth? So, if I start a discussion in mylot, and post a link in link bucks; or I start a response to a discussion in mylot, and post the link in link bucks, someone will read it later on, do I get paid from it?
