As if anyone needed more proof that the public unions are nothing but cesspools of theft, corruption and slime, American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) leaders reach a new low... and Democrats who may run against Walker in the upcoming recall election dive into the slime head first.
AFSCME leaders are going so far as to hold one-on-one Job Interviews with Democrats who may run. That's right folks, these bottom feeders are going to the union leaders to kiss their butts, hoping to win the "biggest shill" award.
The successful candidate will have to prove that they are completely and totally in the pocket of AFSCME, and would never even consider thinking for themselves. They will prove themselves worthy by robbing the taxpayers at every turn, and ensuring that Wisconsin reaches #1 in public employee lay offs and state debt.
Congratulations Unionistas, have you proven that you support harassing Special Olympics, giving the Zeig Heil salute to WWII veterans, picketing at ceremonies welcoming WI National Guard troops from Afghanistan, and disrupting Rev. Martin Luther King day memorials. Now, if you continue to support this recall crap, you prove that you have no problem with a governor who openly admits they work for the unions, not for the people.
In other words, no matter what else about you is laudable and worthy of praise, you care nothing for honor or honesty.

One thing about it, it shows just how unethical union leaders truly are. It should also get union members to question how ethical their leaders have been with them.

Most know exactly how unethical their union leaders are... and don't care.

The recall is a power move from the unions, an attempt to show they can still rule the state and it's a sign of their frustration at not being able to thwart the governor and the legislature on the collective bargaining issue. Now that there has been time for the policies to have their intended effect - which is a more stable economy and budget - it looks as silly to outsiders as a toddler's temper tantrum looks to adults. And that's what it is, a temper tantrum because they didn't get their own way. This interviewing is the another show of power and a threat to anyone thinking of running for the office. They are saying they want assurances that the Dem candidate is going to do their bidding or they won't support him/her and that the candidate who doesn't play along could get the same treatment as they showed Gov. Walker. It's the most un-American display I have ever seen and regardless of which party a person belongs to, they need to see this power play as an affront to our democratic system.

That's scary when they don't even bother to hide their corruption. What's scarier, to me, is that a million people want to recall a governor that got rid of the deficit, increased jobs and broke the stranglehold of unions on union members, giving them more options and saving them money. It's insanity. It's like killing the person who rescued you from drowning.
Maybe it's time for voters to be required to take a quiz to prove they know some facts about the issues. States everywhere are having elections decided by people who read mailings, billboards and see commercials but have no idea of the facts of the issues they're voting on. I'm sure there will be some people screaming about this suggestion.
