The last week, my kids have been sick and that has kept me at home focusing on them and the house this week....so I lost a week of couponing with my shopping and even online getting my coupons. So today I am able to do a little bit of printing off coupons and looking forward to getting out tomorrow to get my Sunday paper for my coupons and sales ads. So I can see what kind of deals I can get this week. How did you do this week with your coupons? Did anyone get any really good deals...and how many things did you get? How much did you save? thanks for sharing, and Happy Mylotting!!

I've actually sort of fallen off the couponing bandwagon because of the fact that we've been so busy with doctor's appointments and daily treatments at the hospital for my husband. But, I know that it is something that I really need to start doing again because when I'm being serious about my couponing I'm easily able to save 40-50% on my grocery shopping. So, I guess I'll have to get serious about it this week after Tom's last treatment is behind us.

I am at that point right now, saving 30-40%....my goal is to get to 50% or more. I have more to learn but just the savings I have made so far has made me feel good about shopping again. good luck getting back to your coupons...it is so worth it, every penny counts and we need to save where we can!! thanks for the response and have a great day!! Happy Mylotting. :)

I try to go out with my coupons at least once a week, but that doesn't always happen, so when I do get the chance to go, I feel great to pick up those deals. I haven't been able to get out for a while, so I can't say I have gotten any really good deals lately. I hate having to make a quick stop at the store to pick up a few things without being able to use my coupons, but that has been the way I have had to deal with theings these last several months. I have just been so busy with everything else, I haven't been able to dedicate the time I need and want to to couponing.

I know what you mean...I was like that for so long, figuring if I just stopped off here and there to pick up what I needed and just grab the store brand things then I was doing well. I have learned so much these past few months since I started couponing and I have started to get a little stock of things that we will be using over the year that I dont have to worry about running out of right away anymore. good luck getting back to your coupons and have a great day!! Happy Mylotting.

i wish we could do more with coupons here in canada. it makes me jealous when i watch extreme couponing. i do clip coupons somewaht but i find that often the store brand is cheaper than the brand name item even with the cents off coupons.

I agree, if we can get the store brand for cheaper even after a coupon is used...then I definitely will buy the store brand other wise using the coupons isnt saving me anything. sorry you dont get to use coupons as much in Canada, that just doesnt seem right to me. I recently found out that you can email companies and request coupons...maybe that could work for you. I havent tried it yet so I can say first hand how well it works though. Happy Mylotting.

I went shopping on Monday and yesterday but for my craft things. and I did have some coupons with me....don't know exactly what I saved but I had a leftover 20% to Michaels I was able to share with my sister and she was quite happy to save a few extra cents!

I wish I was one of those who could do the coupon thing, but it just always seems like the coupons we get are for stuff I need. I printed a bunch off from different sites one time. That didn't last long. I would like to be able to save money, but honestly, I don't know how. So in between getting yourself ready for you shopping trip if you have any advice I would sure appreciate. Thanks.

Coupons here in my country hasn't really gotten off fast. There are only a few sites offering these and rarely do we see printed ones on our local magazines or newsapers. I have only used a coupon I think three times, and all were for spa and salon services. But there were great deals other than these. It just so happened that I didn't need those things that were offered at really great prices. So I guess it's a cash basis shopping for me. (I'm minimizing my credit card usage)

After about 6 months of surveying it...I have found that the first of the month is when the sites put up new coupons...and nothing new the rest of the month. So I go, print out as many as allowed of those I want and usually don't go back the rest of hte month. I get enough to save about $25$30 a month. Not alot but a tank of gas or eat out somewhere nice. I do it tho...every little bit helps.
