are you into event-organizing?

I am sure that there are some of you here who are into organizing events. How long have you been doing this? Did you have to get permits to get you started? You see, I think I have some passion for this type of work. I like to cook up events. I had recently finished two activities but I am planning to have a series of events for 2012. Do share your know-how on this.
