Cirque du freak: The vampire's assistant

I yesterday saw the move Cirque du freak: The vampire's assistant. I really enjoyed watching the movie.
But i wasn't satisfied when i saw that this was only 1 part of different movie parts. So i started looking if there are already more parts. When looking for this I found out that this movie was based on 3 books of Darren Shan. I think a year ago i read a book of Darren Shan. The book was also very good. I think i read part 6.
Does someone know if there already is another part? Or isn't?
I really want a new part.

I'm guessing that this is prepared for the sequel.
If you say three books, than it might be set for trilogy.
But i don't know if they would continue the production of this movie.
Even though i found this movie is interesting, i don't think this could be categorized as a box office movie. CMIIW.
But anyway, thanks for your info about Darren Shan. I've just found out that this movie was taken from a book from reading your topic
