If you're talking about this site, you don't know. The only way you can tell who is online is the sites that tell you, like facebook or obviously the chat rooms.

msh this is not F acebook. this is not Twitter, this is mylot a discussion forum. to know who has been here recently or now hit the
tabs new or recent and read the discussions. alos under the varius interests shown above here note the times like questions and answers 24 minutes ago whcih means this person was posting a discyussion 24 minutes ago. I repeat this is not just another Facebook its not that horribly over socialized. it is a social network for discussions but not complicated with all the bells and whistlesof Facebook

also please for goodness sakes do read the mylot guidelines and the
FAQ's too as it answers your questions and u nlike askiong us once then not seeing us again, you can go back and reread the info as often as you need tolthis info is there to help you so use it.

Above this discussion you will see a tab called 'discussions'.
There in the drop-down menu you can see 'recent'.
Those are the discussions which have received the most recent activity and if you go there you will see who was the last to add a response or a comment. If you keep refreshing the page you will see who is posting right now.

Well not like facebook or some green icon besides our name

mylot is not like other social sites which gives you chat box where you can see who is online. i think this is really good coz this is a discussion site otherwise people will start chatting instead of discussions......so accept what is given here to maintain the decency........

The answer is you can't,
although it might be fun to see this kind of feature.. 
But I think you can guess it by visiting someone's profile to check their latest activity. If their latest activity was just 10-30 minutes ago, then probably they're still be online..

There is on way to know who is online on mylot. Mylot is not having this feature. Better to start discuss in discussions or private messages.
You using facebook and twitter a lot, aren't you?
