I wish I could cook like those JMC kids

Those kids on the Junior Master Chef (ABS-CBN) are so brilliant in their cooking! They're so creative and full of ideas on how to cook even something they haven't tried cooking (or tasted) before. The youngest one is only 8 years old! I just wonder if cooking has been more appealing to them than playing like children should. I'm sure that their parents love cooking and have influenced and taught them well even when they were younger. Or it is just their talent. I can cook but I wish I could be a good cook like those kids are, I don't eat dog but maybe when they'll cook it for me, I won't be able to tell that it's dog meat they have prepared and cooked, and I might have eaten it without knowing it's dog meat! How about you? Do you love cooking? How good are you as a cook? :) Nice day to all!

I like cooking, although I do it almost never. When I was Student, a Japanese taught me how to prepare rice. He was a good cook. I think to cook you only need to follow what the recipes say and achieve balance with the flavours.

Yes, it's easy to cook if you have the recipes and instructions, especially the easy and simple ones. But I think if the person is not really good in cooking and hates it, then better let someone cook or buy cooked food. Thanks, Rick!

If cooking is a job, especially if you have to cook many times a day for the people around you, then it's not something that we'd love to do But if it becomes a hobby, I'm sure you'd love doing it! Thanks, rmendoza.

I watched the episode last Sunday and I said to myself, how come I don't know how to cook and they know? I felt sad about myself. I really don't know how to cook dishes. But I am always reading books about cooking and baking in our school library wondering when will I be able to cook something special. I really want to take cooking classes.

If you really wanted to learn, then taking cooking classes is a good idea. I also love cooking and I've been searching online for recipes I want to try . I can only do simple dishes. I am thinking "I love cooking but cooking doesn't love me!" And those children even talk the "cooks/chefs" languages, lol. Thanks, cearn25! It's not too late to learn how to cook.

Don't be ashamed at least you know how to cook. The kids really are talented when it comes to cooking. It also make me feel ashamed if I find myself learning from them or from their recipes. Ronadelle, thanks for the response. Happy mylotting!

yes the kids at JMC there are so brilliant at such a young age they already know how to cook those complicated dishes and cuisines and are so creative! the dishes they come up with looks so delicious and appetizing too..i wonder when they are in their 20s they will be so good at it already..it's great to see kids at those ages already independent in cooking...some of them were exposed and influenced by their parents at such a young age to cooking and some because they are left all alone they learn how to cook by themselves..well, i bet if they are given a task of doing a dish out of dog meat, that'll probably come out classy and appetizing..people will surely not recognize or forget it's a dog's meat..hehe..i don't know how to cook that much myself but i am willing to practice and learn...practice makes perfect!

Yah, I agree with you. Maybe those kids will be running their own restaurants when they've grown up. I've been trying to experiment with different kind of dishes - some would turn out to be good and some don't Anyway, as long as there's someone around us who can really cook, then there's no need to learn how to cook complicated dishes Thanks, jadoixa!

I, myself, am in awe of the dishes they cook up, but I'm not wishing at all that I could cook as well or even better than those kids. I do, however, like to taste/devour their creations!

It's just so amazing what kids can do these days. But you know, even if you are a brilliant cook if there's nothing to cook, then it's useless well, unless if you wanna be employed as a chef then it would be something. Thanks, skits_girl, for the response.
