It started with just following each others posts and responding to peoples as well.
Then I read a book and offered it to a mylot friend here.
I got to send it to her. I must have given her my phone number and she kept it.
I had a procedure done on friday and have not spent a lot of time on the computer getting myself back together.
Tonight I got the most wonderful surprise!
This friend here from mylot called and wanted to know how I am feeling.
This sincerely does show you do make friends that last in mylot and even the little kindnesses we bestow on others makes for for a heartfelt day everywhere!
Now I will send her another book to read LOL
But it was wonderful to put a voice along with the writings we do.
So I am honored to indeed tell her that I do indeed include her as a real friend to me!

You are very lucky. Finding friends is like receiving blessings from the Lord. I love reading books as well and I also received a book from an unknown friend. It's good when you use the internet for making friends. It is bad if social networks are used to spread malicious wares.
You did a good job. This is a reward of conversing with people online. See you around mylot.

Thanks Snow. I try to get to know a few people personally. I am an only child and both my parents have passed so not much of a family left.
While I have children they all live elsewhere except my one son. If he ever leaves to go off on his own I will really be lonely (hubby either works eats or sleeps
) So I have to depend on my little machine for entertainment.

That's just plain out AWESOME! It brings a smile to my face to read such things and know that there are good people still out there that can make true connections. :) Hope he/she enjoys the other book as much as the first one!

Thank you for the kind words. It was nice to hear a voice on your end also. Getting to know people and making new friends is just one of the many things I like about MyLot. I hope to talk to you again in the future! I will be anxious to receive another book. I think I told you that I enjoyed the last one very much. I have been having a little trouble responding to your post today or I would have replied sooner. I guess most people are having problems with the site and management has been contacted, so it should be fixed soon.

I have to get packages ready to ship so I will get your next book ready.
this one will be quite different from the first one for sure.
I bet your mother would enjoy reading this one and much easier to follow than the other one. I just love history and that was such an awesome book with all the added notes lots of research was done.

Yes we both live in the US. I also talk to friends in Canada and can talk to Mexico as well.

Aww that is so nice that you sending another mylot member a book started a friendship between you. I am afraid if talking to strangers so until now I havent gotten to friendly with any mylotters. How sweet your mylot friend called you like that. What a wonderful surprise for you. I talked on the phone tonight to a mylot friend. It was definitely nice to put voice to the person I read posts of all the time. We had a nice chat on the phone.
