I do not think physical store shopping will disappear. It is actually the physical travel of going to the malls that brings the pleasure of buying. Online shopping will definitely grow exponentially, but physical store shopping will always have the adventure of spending the time in leisure. Also, mall hopping will be the place for families to go. This is why I do not think it will disappear.

Indeed hanging round the traditional shops is a pleasure especially with family members or friends. When people are free ,they often get together to go shopping or just hang around the shops.they sometimes treat the traditional shops as a means of killing time.

There will always be a market for traditional shopping I think. Granted, I think that it will become less and less overtime. But much like books, traditional store shopping is never going to disappear one hundred percent. However, online shopping will in fact grow, while store shopping is going to rather decrease to a certain point. There are going to be far less options for sure with store shopping. There are always far less options than there was about ten years ago or even five years ago anyway. Yet it is rather obvious why online shopping has caught on. Given traditional shopping has proven to be less than adequate in many ways, with it being a leap of faith of what you truly need actually being in the physical store when you get there. I don't think store shopping will die, not for a long time at least but it will be rather wounded for some time.

Everythin has its own advantages and disadvantages just like a coin that has two sides. And every person has his or her preference to do things. As the population increases, and the technology adnances, there will be many more forms of shopping and each form has its embracers.

Archaiwy, Hi there. Hope your day has been great! I had been wondering this same thing myself. But really I dont think that it will make all stores close. There are still people that prefer to shop in stores, or window shop. I do howeer know that its making it tough for the stores that are on the lower end of popularity. I am sad about that really. Because not only is it taking away the joy in feeling and looking at the object right there. And with the recent book stores closing that has really mad me so sad. Because there is nothing like sitting in a book store and exploring.

Store sales will probably diminish, but there will still; be a need for them for various reasons. Here are a couple.: 1. Last minute purchases, Husband forgot a birthday or anniversary. Wife is in the middle of preparing dinner but lacks a key ingredient. 2. Hard to fit people need to be able to try on a garment.

In my opinion, stores will not disappear despite the prevalence of online shopping. Most people find it more nicer to shop on stores, because they get to fit what they are buying. They can feel the and see the quality of the goods, unlike online where the pictures are nice but when they are delivered to you, they are not as good as what is advertized.

Yes,i agree with you on this.I prefer to go to stores to buy things. Because if i am not satisfied with what i bought ,i will change for another of just cancel it.although it can be done online ,it takes too much time.

I don`t it will disappear some day. There are many people who enjoy browsing at real stores, touching the items, fit clothes and shoes. It`s fun. Especially during the holiday season. You can`t find this atmosphere on line. This smell of holiday.

I don't think it will disappear completely, but I believe that many stores in the cities will go bust. We all like to browse and look at goods, but with so many on-line stores, a lot of us will only shop on-line, and I think there are too many stores in and around the cities to attract the buyers who like to shop that way.. _Derek

Well if you think about it, mail order catalogs are still around, even though they started in 1872 by Montgomery Ward. Given how long old systems have lasted, I doubt stores will ever disappear. Now, they might shrink. You may not have the massive grand stores of the 80s and 90s. They may become smaller more efficient stores. But there will always be people who want to feel and touch products before them buy them.

No, I don't think it will disappear. Places like Walmart and Target will stay in business. At Target I go to Starbucks for coffee and a danish, and I also sometimes stop at the Pizza Hut kiosk in Target. People love shopping in real life. There will always be a place for real shopping.

I think store shopping will remain, it's nicer to shop on stores than online because you can check personally the item unlike in online shopping. my friend did shop online once and when the item arrived to her it's prettier on the photo online than on actual and she still did some trimming because it don't fit well on her... so many are still prefer stores shopping.

i dont think stores will disappear soon, there is nothing better than feeling and testing the clothes you are about to buy, shoes in particular. some look good on pictures but it's different personally. I often buy things in the internet only to regret after because of the fit or the color or the clothe texture. so i think i'd rather personally shop also it's also enjoyable to shop at stores. i love the smell of new clothes

I do not think there is such changes to happen anytime soon. As i prefer to shop in stores, i do not think the online shopping stores would dominate as many would still want to see the products first before buying them. =)

no because i am the type that likes to see the item i am buying, look it over and see how well it is made. don't get me wrong, i do order things online but i would rather go into a brick and morter store to purchase stuff.

I think it might disappear for some products, but store shopping will not disappear altogether. For example, women in particular will always enjoy going clothes shopping, trying on the items in a way that doesn't work online. Some people prefer to see and feel objects they are buying, they like things to be tangible, not just an image on a screen

Going to a physical store is much more practical. You have the ability to go whenever it is open and get what you need on hand and instantaneously. Maybe stores will begin to have online delivery services but the physical stores will never die out.

I think store shopping will disappear in the future if all people worldwide are already knows how to use online. Since majority of people are still don't know how to use online because there are some places that have no technologies, some have less technologies but their education were limited. Most people are not interested to learn since most of them prefer store shopping because they are get used to it and they knew that they can check the quality of the items before buying in person if it is shopping in stores than shopping online. I guess, store shopping is still there in the future though there will be changes may happen.
