do "advisers" practice what they advise/preach others??

in many cases it happens that the "adviser" is only an expert in giving "advise" but in his/her life he not even practice what he preaches. do you like to even listen to such people's advise?? well in my view point there is no meaning of taking advise from such people who actually "advises" others to earn some sort of respect or to have a role of superiority. whatever i advise people i have those experiences in my own life,i know how it feels and what it takes so i give advise to others on that. but something just for the sake of giving "advise" wont just happen in my case. if i do not have any "advise"in the respected matter i stay back and keep shut. what you people think?
