I wonder am I the only one who invariably blows the key word and types some stupid gibberish then after editing hit post to see the one I missed is the one thats changed the meaning of the sentence. Oh for another edit tab sob sob. your take my friendly mylotters.

"Haste makes waste",sometimes ,faster I want to type my mylot discussion or response, slower it turns out to be instead, because this way there are more typos than ever .Especially the T and Y,A and S keys that are next to each other,I want to type one,as a result ,I type the other.

hi changjiangzhibin right on . haste does make waste. Yes I find mself hitting s when I wanted a or vice versa . and the T and Y keys they hate me. lol then I see the errors even after I hit post I automatically try to correct.of course its loaded and there they are the mean little buggers of errors. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

hi chang yes I do check beforeposting but still some little mean snag of a wrong word seems to hide until I hit post. then suddenely there it is glaring hard at me and daring me to try and change]it which does no good once you press post.

For me, I have no choice but to check up before posting. However even though I do so,I can't say for sure there are no errors in my comments or responses.

I'm there! Of course, I could hit preview, but I never do. Today I responded to a discussion and wrote "there" instead of "they"

Hi ElicBxn or down instead of don't which really does not work when you want to say I don't think this will work puttind I down think is really going to have people puzzling as to what did she mean? and to top things off I was doing so good yesterday had previewed and saw no errors only to be told I had used an impermissible word.I checked and yes I had spelled as with an extra s' so at least I could correct it and thus relieve the admins of having a naughty word . I had never mean to say a.s.s at all as all I was after was to simply write the word as. I seldom hit preview either but a lot of time I just go down line by line til I get in a hurry.,

Oh how I wish many times there was an EDIT button after you go to submit your response back, or start a New discussion. It many times is after I hit the submit key and reading back over my discussion or response I end up catching a typing oops and wish I could really fix it. Many times this can for sure throw the meaning out of context and make people wonder for sure.

hi tina. oH I go agree. Somehow a silly error that does change the meaning still hides until you have hit post then you see it. an other edit button would save having to post a comment telling that the word down was supposed to be don't as in I don't think I should do this but when I typed down I had to explain. I down think makes not sense at all so I felt I had to explain my goof.

Businesslike... - Yes, I can be...I'm a bit of a perfectionist; as I was when this photo was taken too.
I never like it when I read my posting back and I realise I've made a mistake, but I wouldn't care to be able to edit my posts; because I like it that once it's posted, it's posted full stop. It means that I will take more trouble with my posts; also, there's a feeling of satisfaction in creating a My Lot post, knowing it's permanent. It's like a mini work of art. I tend I think to re-read my posts, in order to ensure there are no typos; but even at that, from time to time I miss something; but generally not. I tend to make sure what I'm posting is to my liking before I hit Post Response.

carl hi and I bet you are very successful in whatever you do as you take the time to save time by correcting and editing as you go. My son tells me its in the details and he is right. When one errs, its generally one of those things where you were going to fast thinking for your fingers to keep up,. so then one should really proof. I like what you say in your response as I have felt 'that way a lot of times. I love to write and am an unpublished writer. You take pride which is something we all should do so as to make quality posts

No dear, I assure you, we are not the only people who make mistakes while typing.. there are plenty of them.. I don't have a spell check tool :(. So my eyes are constantly glued to the screen when I type... Many people are astonished to see me typing with such a speed and without even looking at the keyboard... LOL Tell me dear, doesn't it feel great to be a touch typist???? :)

hi mr pearl oh thanks thats what I have to do.I also am a touch typist and I can usually type 40 words a minute but I still do make those stupid ones like down for don't now down think makes no sense at all but don't think was what I meant to write.I have spelling checker but it does not help when you type the wrong word as long as its correctly spelled. lol ah Let it be remember the old Beatles song Let it be? great song too. I am so glad I am not alone in these silly blunders. lol

I don't think that I tend to have too many posts that have a lot of typos in them, but there are some times that I am guilty of this and when it does happen, I really wish that there was a way that I would be able to edit my post when I make a mistake. Of course, I don't know how easy it would be for the admin and programmers here at mylot to make it possible for us to be able to edit our posts.

hi dorannmwin I have noticed you rarely post an error so I assume you did sort of edit as you went which is what I have had to do lately. I think after I had that semi coma when I had too high blood sugar it set off some odd little errors I seem to make. I never had any problem before but if I carefully edit I am fine. I still do have all my marbles though which I am grateful for at my age. I think it would probably be a bit hard for the admins to add a second edit tab. Also some would be tempted to rewrite the whole thing. I guess its best if we really do hit preview and edit and do our thing. lol Actually like Mike said haste causes waste. So I slow down and go line by line and find by doing this I actually make fewer errors to start with. that suits me just fine.

Cant say about others but i am so conscious on typing as English is not my mother tongue. You may use safari browser which has it's own spell checker. have a nice time.

hi shibham you do so well really I am amazed. It takes courage to take on English as a second language as I think its not that easy a language to learn. I was born speaking it and even so like now make typos .I have firefox which also has a spelling checker but for whatever reason lately I have a hang up of typing the wrong darn word and of course if it is spelled correctly the spelling checker cannot help you. so slowing down and reading each sentence for any wrong words is the only way to avoid it.

Dear Ms Hatley Of course, I am in. I want an Edit feature on MyLot to save us all from those lovingly and embarrassing typos that we make I remember an incident where my sentence was so wrong to convey almost opposite of what I was going to say... and it went that way only because of TYPOs The auto spell check feature on my PC doesnt seem to work all times and when it doesnt, I do fall into problems. Luckily, MyLot community and family has been so very understanding and forgiving... and this attitude has helped me survive here

hi thesids I think at times I am on a roll mentally but my fingers are not swift enough to catch up with what I am trying to write hence it gets murdered and I bave to edit line by line just to be sure I wrote down what I had meant.I think we all do naturally supply the missing word or change it from the wrong one to the one that does make sense.

Aww... Are you talking about me, Hatley? Ahehehehe... I remember when it happened to me years ago. I was chatting my then boyfriend now husband. I hit the letter "I" instead of letter "O"... and the word "honey" became "hiney". Ahihihihi... I am jealous of those emoticons, you know. =(

hi my4cats oh my goodness hope he wasn't too upset but guess he was not as he became your husband. Hiney now that would be just a touch different than honey. he he.So really I am not alone in typing typos that change the sentence. I down think that is wrong when it should have been of course I don't think that is wrong was the sentence that I typed in a post and had to explain in a comment as I had already hit post response. So I explained the right word was don't. wonder how much it counted off if anything for goofs like that? well I shall just have to be more careful. I have spelling checker so no excuse for those typos except of course the spelling checker cannot help if you used the wrong word accidentally as it just looks for misspelled words. lol

It's funny how omitting the word "no" can completely change the meaning of what you are trying to say. I honestly think it is actually there until I hit "post response", then it disappears and I look like a moron.

I usually read my discussions and posts before I post them. Even when I do that I end up,at times, missing things! Like the gibberish like you said! I some times forget to capitalize words and put the right puncuation in! I think everyone does this once in awhile!
