Buffy against Edward Cullen

I just saw this remix video which pits high school vampire slayer Buffy and twinkling vampire Edward Cullen against each other. The uploader calls it a transformative story showing the "ongoing battle between two opposing visions of gender roles in the 21ist century". Here's the link (not referral):

I think it's hilarious and I liked it because Edward was killed by Buffy in the end. 
Buffy was not taken by the mysterious, "sexy", "seducing" aura of Edward and she just finds him boring. I don't know about the uploader's intent or idea, but to me, it just satisfied my animosity towards a sparkling vampire.

That sparkling Pedophile so deserve it. I hate twilight, It ruins the mythos of vampires and my 13 year old niece throws a frying pan on my head. actually i think twilight fangirls are like puppies with rabies. they atatck people who dislikes twilight. 
I used to watched buffy, I like its first season, I started to dislike it when Angel becomes a character. I hate Angel...LOL

You know most male audience of female action heroes,prefers the protagonist to stay single. Angel ruins it.... Its jelousy I guess. Thats the reason why Tomb raider games avoid giving lara croft having a love interest. Male audience will be jelous.,

Cap, I don't like Edward but how and when did he become a pedo?
Casandra, I like Angel, too! But it was annoying how they couldn't be together. I accepted that though, and besides, I liked Riley for Buffy. And it was also annoying how they couldn't be together just like with Angel! 
Jazel, I like Anne Rice's vampires, too! I love Akasha!!! Don't like wolves much, though.

Aw cmon I love ANGEL there that spike lol..but yes buffy and the vampires she fought with where the stronger meaner generations of the vampire era lol...
till Edward Cullen arrive and thus the era of emo vampires arrived. Not at all scary. Makes one wonder if vampires are always that rich and handsome..and sparkling lol But then i love wolves...hahaha
But i still go for Anne Rice's type of vampire..go back and this of Vampire Lestat..as well as Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise.. those are real vampires hahaha but then again, i will still go for wolves... hello Van Helsing :D

it was indeed funny secretbear, i actually grew up with Buffy and watched almost all of its episodes except for the very last season... i guess i stopped when angel was gone and i started watching ANGEL lol he got his own series right? but i also got lost on that one..
but back to the video, it was indeed funny and a different take on the Cullens hahaha.. 1 person likes this

I followed Buffy, too! I even bought the DVDs. But I stopped watching when Spike started to like Buffy. I was so disappointed when Buffy and Riley couldn't be together.

That must have taken a lot of work to make. I am a big fan of Buffy, but I have never seen any of the Twilight movies and based on this, I don't think I have missed much. They seem to break a lot of the legendary rules about vampires. Buffy rules.

I am not the Twilight fan nor haters but looking at the video, I think that is what we should do whenever we 'meet' a vampire, right?? I like the idea but tell you what, Twilight fans must feel something when they watched it.(^^)

Vampires are not supposed to sparkle. They are supposed to burn up in the sun, or if not completely catch on fire at least be very pained by it. The sparkly vampire just ruins my idea of the genre.
As for gender roles, I did a few papers on that. I like the kick butt chick over the metrosexual male.

I agree!!!! They aren't supposed to shine like rainbow brite! They ruin the dark image of vampires. Making vampires look romantic that way is a ridiculous idea!
I also like the idea of females being fighters. I wish I can kick-a s s, too like Buffy!
