I am really interested in the study of the brain. every time i learn something about it, it's always a great experience. The work on the human brain directed how different partis are centres of activity for different skills, feelings, perceptions and so on. it has also been shown that the left and the right parts, or halves, of the brain are responsible for different functions. while language is processed by the left, music is processed in the right or emotional hemisphere. aspects of music like tone, pitch and melody are all probably processed in different parts of the brain. the tempo of music seems to be directly related to its emotional impact, with fast music often felt as happier and slower music as sadder. it is the same with the major biological rhythm of the body: our hert rate quickens when we're happy, but slows when we're sad. military music may have evolved from attempts to get us ready for battle by using fast drumming to stimulate our hearts into beating faster. music is perhaps one of the most complex experiences the brain copes with and it has become absolutely vital part of our rituals and ceremonies. it has the power beyond language to communicate mood and coordinate our emotional states.

One thing I know about music and the brain is that the songs you like singing most or a new song registers in the brain and will continue to play even when you are not singing or listening to them.
